Haley, I have a 24ga spaced Ti build in mine right now. 2.5mm with 6 wraps is giving me .21 ohms running at 390 joules. Damn fine vape, although Noodle had to point me in the right direction for stuffing those channels with cotton.

I get my TI here:

http://www.riogrande.com/Product/Titanium-Round-Wire,-50_dash_ft-Coil,-24_dash_Ga,-Soft/135503
OK so back to youtube to research Ti. Is it really ok to buy ANY wire from a jewelery supply place? Kinda worries me! .21 ohms 390 joules? Does my IPV 4s even go that high?
Maybe I should stick with kanthal in this tank. Only started vaping in Feb. But i went to a class at local vape shop to learn to wrap and have done much research on safety. Been coiling for a few months but those kinda #'s worry me. Also how soft is soft with Ti? Because the softness of the nickel is what my problem is.

Haley,

A large portion of the high grade Ti comes out of the jewelry industry because it's hypoallergenic (sp?). I have been using this supplier since TL devices hit the market. They were also nice enough to confirm with documentation that it was G1.

I wouldn't post it for friends (vaping family) if it wasn't the correct wire to use. I believe there are many here that use it.

Send me a message if you would like to try a sample. This wire is nice and clean and very easy to work with, coils come out damn near perfect.

Found this video of the mutation X mt rta on YouTube. It really helped me nail the wicking on this tank. Lol he does airflow "tests" on all the tanks he reviews and the mutation mt has the most airflow of all the tanks he's tested so far. I love this tank!

Thanks will try this as soon as i get home. I was pushing the wick ends in first not leaving the end out like he does. Good idea i think!!

    @T0mmy1977 was this a video?
It was a comment made on a YouTube video, but not an actual video showing the build.

The Project Sub-Ohm® Edition Mutation X MT RTA Tank Wicking Tips

This is the comment near the top.

What I did, which seems to have worked the first time, is to wet the wick before cutting it. Screwed on the chimney, THEN cut the wick fairly flush with with the outside of the chimney. Didn't leak and no dry hits. That was actually try #2. Hadn't seen this vid for try #1 and sat and watched the tank full of juice just pour out of the bottom. Another thing that really ...... me off is the screws. Why can't they use high quality, properly engineered screws. They know you need to get them tight around your wire but they use such crap that it strips out right away. Really? Come on! Ultimately, once I switched out a screw and went through the wicking process previously mentioned, I have to say it was a pretty flavorful vape. I use 6mg Rocket Man and the flavor was really nice. In fact, I'd say it was fantastic! Good luck with yours. Hope it goes well.

So i did it just like this guy. It works great!! Still only hole are the bubbles coming from but no dry hits at all and not one drop spilled. In the v2 i hope i can get to my build with not taking it all apart so i could poke at the wick holes. Anyway i see the important thing wicking this is keep your cotton nice and fluffy and dont pack it in so tight that it will choke the cotton. Look at his vid he is very gentle packing it in there. Do it like that and it works great.

just got through building and testing my mt ......
    OMG!!!!!!!! this thing is awesome!!!
    24ga nich80.... 2.5mm ...7 wraps spaced...... .22ohms
i used rayon and trimmed the tails wet even with the bottom of the juice well...
didnt like all the stuffing that all the reviewers do....wanted the strands as straight as possible
chainvaped up to 120 watts with no dryhits....not even a hint of a dryhit
side by side with the zephyrus...same juice....flavor on the mt is better
    im telling you....
ive got the aromamizer and the crius shipped on the way
and i dont think they are going to be quite as good unless i drill the juice holes
im liking this better than alot of my drippers

I had a aromamizer for close to 3 months before I got this mutation x tank. I sold the aromamizer the day I got this tank because I know I'll never use it again. I think this tank is a lot better then the aromamizer

I'd return it when you get it and save your money lol.
I only have 1 box mod a sigelei 150 watt so I don't need multiple tanks. I've got a velocity rda already too. I'm gonna rewick my MX tank tonight and see how that goes as I've only wicked it once but I didn't have any issues
