I don't have any toppers that perform well at her single battery IQ ;)
I'm optimistic that the MT might deliver some satisfaction at her level.
I'll keep her for the zombie apocalypse if not.
tip for the ZA (and other voracious hazards) you don't need to be the fastest, just not the slowest

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT buy THE MUTANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called another vender before this came in asking about coils and they said they had to send them back cause they taste like s&%$. That was after I had ordered this. Well the prebuilt coil taste like straight plastic. Happy I will be getting all of my money back out of this deal.
Was soooooooo close to buying one out of laziness but didn't whew :thumb:

I really hope they get their things together cause that is the worse coil i have ever seen. Pure plastic at 50w...and they are saying 150w??? I am done with that tank for sure.....but now we know.

Was it the twisted coil or the clapton? Those were the only options I saw when looking

OMFG RTAs are AWESOME!!! I must have been building my Velocity (tobeco clone) wrong because the flavor on that was equivalent to my Crown, probably a bit better. HOWEVER, the Mutation RTA with a dual 22 gauge 7 wrap build at 0.18 resistance is really showing me how my liquids should taste! Wow huge difference!!

The only thing I'm concerned about is leaving the tank over night with liquid in it and that liquid could end up dumping out. The tank leaks a tiny, tiny bit when I fill it and then it seems fine although I haven't left it alone for more than ten minutes and I am only filling it half way so far. So my questions are three fold - if it is leaking only a little bit should I worry about it dumping over night and turn it over so that doesn't happen? Also, does closing the air flow when I fill it help (probably will get mixed answers there)? Lastly, will putting more liquid in the tank make it more likely to leak?

It was the dual coil it came with. But after my other vendor sent all of there coils back to them i did not bother with trying the twisted. If " they" will carry them then the problem is fixed because they test what they sell.

It shouldn't leak if you leave it. Also when you fill it, close the AFC, fill it, and when you go to screw on the top, on the last 1/2 turn flip the tank upside down and fully close the top. Leave it inverted for a few seconds and then open the AFC. Then turn the tank right side up.

Yep. Been my top fill method for a long time.

I've been trying that (but not exactly as you indicated) but wasn't sure at what point to turn it so thank you. I think I also just have very thick 70/30 liquid (itcvapes say somehow their liquids are thicker at the same ratio and I'm inclined to actually believe that) and I might have to start turning it sooner than the last half turn because the juice moves sooo slowly towards the top and away from the deck. I might be able to pack my channels a bit more also although it seems they are fine now - two are probably packed as much as they should be but the other two have the cotton showing and touching the bottom of the channels and are visible but just not as much as it is in the other two channels.

Welcome home :)

As to the leak, you're probably shy on wick. You didn't say what mandrel your built your coil upon, but use the biggest one you hav to get more wick in it. Leave the tails long and bring them straight down to the deck, then out the channels. I am considering adding more rayon to the deck in addition to the wick, just to fill up those giant juice channels. It should be OK overnight, but to make completely sure, remove it from the mod and balance it on the drip tip. This will run the liquid away from the juice channels-- unless it is completely full-- and it can't leak like that.

Booooooooom! Vendor loopholes FTW!! Didn't see that coming.
I was thinking about the DNA200 also. Or the rx200. Where's @ThunderDan? He had a couple coming.....
Just chillin man, I did get a couple of them in. For the price, I think they are great, nice for powering the MT, and still get a full days use. Only had them a little over a week, but my wife and I both like them, she took the white one, while I have the black.

Last newb question from me: Is it more likely to leak if it is on its side or tilted slightly? Or no if it is wicked properly? I think I'm going to switch exclusively to RTAs if I can leave it in my bag all day and not have to worry about it falling over and pouring everywhere.

Also the build is a 2.5 ID. I would have went with 3mm but since it was my first build I wanted to make sure that it would fit nicely in the chimney without shorting (although I see people fitting much, much bigger builds but that was the size screw driver I had so I need to go get a bigger one).

If it's wicked right it shouldn't leak at all. The one thing that gets them is pressure changes. The juice is balanced in the tank by pressure differential. If ambient pressure lowers quickly-- they're famous for leaking on airplanes-- the pressure in the tank will force juice through the wick into the coil area and it will run out the air holes. That, however, isn't about RTAs. Premade coil tanks do it too. If that worries you, it can be beaten: don't fill the tank completely full, and store it upside down. This will run all the juice to the top of the tank, leaving the wick holes in the air bubble above the juice. It won't leak at all like that as there is no juice by the wick to get forced through. The only other problem is filling, but there's a technique that works on that, too. One caveat: Genesis style tanks are famous for leaking when laid down. They work differently, but the MT is not that kind of tank. I store my MT on its side overnight every day. I fill it after I come home from work, fresh battery in the mod, etc., then zip it up in the pouch and lay it with my day book ready to go in the morning. It doesn't leak like that.

I forgot: on the coil mandrel, I like this one, three bucks at MyFreedomSmokes:

Alrighty! Thanks for taking the time to explain all that.
