I hear ya man. I guess go with a higher gauge wire (26, 28g). I looked it up for 22gauge wire and it was stupid, same build but it needed 12 wraps to get to .1 ohms.
I've done it plenty of times with 26g kanthal and it worked great. I keep hearing people rave about the crown U well stainless steel coils having amazing flavor so I gotta try the stainless wire soon

It's reasonable for me, I use to run it at .08 kanthal on the mech mod. On a 4 volt battery it pulled 200 watts and 50 amps, at 3.7 volts it pulled 171 watts and 46 amps.
I know that is low but I did it on Sony vtc batteries and would pulse it. I could only hit the damn thing for 2 seconds max but it blew huge clouds. The good thing about it was I didn't hit my mech often because I got my nic fix every time I hit the damn thing lol. I used a lot less juice then I do now that's for sure

Fwiw, I plan on doing a dual parallel 28g first. I love the surface area and semi quick ramp up time of thinner wiyah!
That guy is a trip. Just man up, you dropped it. Don't sit there and blame the mod for breaking when you dropped it, .... happens and buy a new one

I'm sure that build build will blow huge clouds of vapor. Thin wire heats up super fast too

concur. I just put it out because he said it only fell from the coffee table to the floor. That seemed kinda unreasonable to me. Not that it'll stop me frim buying one

Ok so third day on my "alien claptons" (not really just flat wrapped in 32g)! Loving the clouds & flavor! 60w on my 5 wrap 2.5mm ID .15 OHM build seems to be perfect!
Only thing I noticed is my juice getting a little dark from the heat! Doesn't seem to effect flavor just wondering how long it's gonna be before I have to rewick!
The other thing I've noticed about my RX is that when the batt bar starts flashing the batts still avg about 3.47v left! Is this normal or just a glitch in my RX? Shouldn't the batts go down to like 3.2v? Is it ok to use my mod farther until it stops firing? With great power comes great concern for safety!

Yup, that she be. My panels are not broken because I've never dropped it. If I ever do, I won't blame the mod. Promise!
