I know from experience that the STM can recess past the outer casing back into the AFC base if over tightened. That would cause a short on the mech, no?
A mech that had a 510 positive pin that was smaller in diameter than the inner surface of the outer atty 510 casing would not short. All others, yes.

EDIT: Actually, all mods that had such a pin, it does not have to be a mech. If the 510 pin in the mod is fat enough to contact the 510 negative on the atty, it will short there. Period. It's just a regulated is supposed to sense that and not fire.

Ok, not a Manhattan by Ameravape Technologies, or not a real one; on the real one the button is blank:
mmd-083_3.jpg

But note this photo from a different site:
VC_Ameravape_Man_Brass002-510x652.jpg

Despite the apparent thinness of the top cap, it is not a faux hybrid. The 510 pin is concealed inside the tube length, not the visible part of the top cap.
The "FU" type clone has a cartoon hand with extended middle finger and some writing on the button. It doesn't look much like it to me, but you make the call:
FUHattan-Mod.jpg

@haleysdadda , a clearer photo of the button engraving would be of assistance... EDIT: also the top cap.

I don't have a clearer pic of the button & my friend must be sleeping because he's not responding to my text! I have to believe that the mod in the second pic is like the one in the pic because I asked him specifically if it was a hybrid or not. firstly because I knew you guys would ask. Secondly this would have been a very different discussion between he & I! When I first met this gentleman he was puffing on a homebuilt dual 18650 reg box with a potentiometer for adj & a fuse that he built himself! I believe he knows his stuff! He told me twice that this mod had a floating 510! And his girlfriend either works or worked in a vape shop!

I tried my 3mm 26/32 claptons and there is no way they would fit, touching the barrel and the positive. I think the little screw driver is a tad over 3mm, maybe 3.5mm. I think the claptons I have installed now are actually 3mm or 2.8mm.
Wish you would of taken a pic from the side so I could see it. I forgot to post a pic earlier of mine because I had company come over tonight. When I'm due to fill my tank again I'll take it apart and take a pic of it.

I'm a little confused by this post as well. Maybe I'm just a little too tired tonight but I don't get it. First you say the 3mm doesn't fit and it hits the barrel then you say the 3mm claptons do fit.

Maybe I just got good at building on rta decks from the 3 post aromamizer that I had before. I had to put those coils right on the posts for them to fit but I swear my mt rta coils aren't as close as the aromamizer using the 3mm screwdriver I have

My rx200 and 3 LG hg2 batteries are supposed to be here tomorrow. So what did I do just now? I ordered another rx200, 3 more LG hg2 batteries and a mutank kit online.

Trying to tell the wife why I needed to do it was hysterical, she called me a idiot and told me to order it lol.

I haven't even got the first one in and I ordered another one. With all the positive reviews this thing gets I figured why not order another one, it has to be good with this much hype and I trust you guys on this

The first 3mm I used, I thought the screw driver that I wrapped them with was a 3mm. I put them in and they touched the barrel and the positive post. So I figured it's like a 3.5mm screw driver. Then I wrapped another set on a different screw driver that I assume is 2.8mm-3mm and they fit. Haha.

HELPPP! Finally got time to rebuild the Mutank Rta. :D

Now, 3mm 24G 8/7 wraps or 2.5mm 26/32G claptons 6/5 wraps? I may be able to fit 26/32G 3mm 6/5 wrap claptons but it'll be a tight fit.
I have a .4 dual 3mm iD 26/32g Clapton build in right now. You just have to make sure to position the coils right about the airflow, but close to the center and low

Dual coil, 26/32, 7/6 wrap, .49 ohms.
They set in my Lush rda are, dual 26/32, 6/5 wraps, .43 ohms.

Those look much bigger than 3 but idk...I've gotten very good at making big builds fit into small spaces cause the only rdas I'd use are the derringer and freakshow mini. I'm still trying to find a good build for cloudyness and flavor. My current build isn't that satisfying. This is my first box mod that is over 50w so I have no clue what to build that will work on my new koopor plus

Ok, so this is directed to all that have high powered box mods. What is your build? And what ohms and wattages are you guys running your mt at? I'm having trouble finding my sweet spot. On my sigelei I could build a .5 dual 6wrap 26g kanthal build and run it at 50w and it be almost perfect, but now, since I got this 200w device I have no idea what to do. Do I want to go lower ohms and higher watts or?

ok. Sounds good, we can wait. There's no hurry, the damage is done. If you say the dude knows his stuff, I believe you. If it's not a direct connect, then something else went wrong. No idea what yet.

This is just how I vape and achieve what I like.
For me getting a higher powered device was more about battery life than building lower or throwing more watts at it. I use 35-55w on my single battery D2 and on my "200w" IPV3-Li, my sig 150, my IPV4S. I run builds that give me a great surface area balanced with great ramp up time. Such is the balance between klowdz and flavor, also figuring in to the scenario. I tend to run smaller diameter coils also depending on the deck. So maybe you just like your build results and style at that . 5 dual 26g build?

That said, I do like to experiment with different stuff. IMO, you should try and expand off the .5 dual 26g build you dig. Maybe try a twisted or parallel to start. Or try 24g or 28g. Surface area in contact with the wick is where it's for any vape. You have some new opened doors with a more powerful mod especially since you are already in the game and know what type of vape you like! Have fun with it @kushpancake brother! You have the battery life!

ETA: And take some pics! I love seeing and hearing peoples personal thoughts on builds!!
