I've been rocking my MT all this time with very little leaking. Mostly just condensation leaks between the AFC ring and body, with a small trace out of the air hole at fill up. But yesterday, this b...ch leaked out a couple ml all over the place! Nothing has been changed or moved. This spawn of Satan just decided to take a serious leak. My Mutank has no issues, nor my newly acquired TFV4. Both are doing wonderfully. If this MT doesn't straighten it's act up, it'll join the others in the retirement box, or sent to roxy to keep the other demons company, and I'll get another Mutank or TVF4.

Wow Paul I hope you don't turn on your friends as fast as you turn on your gear! LMAO! Did you want to banish your kids if they had an accident too? Mine has a little dribbling problem when filling but I can overlook it for the job it does for me! Take deep breaths & relax my friend! This too shall pass! ROTFLMFAO!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Off center, and noticeably so. That's odd, innit? Surely it was made on a lathe? How on Earth did they manage to not get it centered? It's takes a pretty fancy (and expensive) lathe to work off center, either for tapers or tangentals. Still, I don't think it's the pin, I think the problem is in a janky-azz 510 connector in the RX. The Advken does it too, from time to time-- less frequently than the MT-- and it is not off center.Either tank will do it on either RX.

On your MT, is the insulator scorched? looks like it is a bit on one side. Mine is too. Im thinking about pulling my cnter pin out and turning the head down a little for a reduced diameter. Or I may open one of my RXs up and see how hard it would be to swap a fat daddy into it. It wouldn't be recessed like it is on the rx however it may keep 30mm tanks from scratching the finish, but if it gives me a better connection I might try it. My second RX should be delivered today, USPS not withstanding....

I guess it's about time for an overhaul. I've been using the same rayon wick for at least3 weeks and the coil is the original I built when I first got it. I'll try @suprtrkr's wicking method. I'll give it a chance for redemption. I won't be known as unfair:).

It is discolored. I don't know if "scorched." I can't see it that well. I haven't gotten up the gumption to pull an RX apart to check the 510. LMK how it works. If you can get a Fat Daddy in it, I want one. BTW, they make the kind you could recess, too :)

It takes a bit of finagle, actually. I worked on that system for a while. I tried Scottish Roll for the coil wicks, and thinned the tails, last time. That worked OK, too, but I still got bypass flooding on first fill, even with wet wick. This time, I didn't. Nothing but the usual condensation and a drop or two at filling. I'm on the 3rd tank through that wick.

There is no rhyme or reason to Satan ...... every once in awhile either. My other 3 MTs never have. It doesn't happen after a rewick or refill so I'm at a loss. The same wicks can be in it for 2-3 weeks. No ...... for 1-2 weeks with those wicks, then suddenly some pee. But, I refill and no pee after that for another week. Its just baffling.

Well, cr*p. I guess I'd better start keeping them on a paper towel, then. I suppose mine are sure to do it sooner or later. But I have to agree, Roxy. If there's any sense anywhere around that, I can't see it.

Mine hadn't done anything out of the ordinary either. Yesterday, it just took a notion to dump as if there was no wicking in there at all. After cleaning up the mess, I refilled again with no real issues, and filled it again this morning with no problems. Beats the heck out of me why it decided to do that. A minor case of possession, I guess!

The first time it happened was after I took him on a trip to Cleveland a week before Christmas and I chalked it up to temp changes going from warm house to cold truck, then truck getting warm. Nope. It keeps happening every 5-13 days since and I haven't taken him out again. So, yeah, that's why I've thrown in the towel on it. It doesn't seem to be anything I'm doing, and I can't solve it. The other 3 can stay in useand having Satan for extra parts is fine. But, if he ruined a mod, I would be really mad, so he got binned.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'll be really ticked if my RX died because of getting flooded. I'm going to try this wicking method and if that still happens, then I'll really give up.

I really think the extra strip down in the juice channel makes a difference. My first few tries at wicking one, I just couldn't get enough wick in it. But put it in the juice channel, it seems to act like a dam or something. The problem with it is, you can get so much wick in it, it will choke at high watts. Once I figured that out, I went from half to quarter rope in the channels and started thinning the tails in the coil wicks.

I will follow what you did. And I'm really liking the rayon in these tanks. Not as much in my drippers. I might have to find some to add to my wick inventory.

Oh, which Subtank replacement glass fits the MT? A link from FT would be great as I don't know one Subtank from another. I'm going to take advantage of the FT 20% off sale Fri to order all the replacement glass I need for attys since I don't care if it takes a month or more for that to arrive.
I thought this didn't work?

Oh, yes, Paul, I forgot: Put the lower tank seal on the base before wicking. And threading the channel strip from one end and dragging it out with a cotton hook-- I use a dental probe as a cotton hook, way better than that $29 POS from UD-- can be done, but it's a PITA. Instead, throw a twist or two in the center of the strip and slide it between the coil and the air tower. Pull the tails back and forth a bit and it will pop down into the channel. Then untwist it and lay it flat.

There have been a couple posts about replacing the 510 in the RX200 thread. @Uncletattoowhat replaced his with a varitube:
