Sounds like a violation of their (JOB SEEKERS)rights since nicotine is not a illegal substance.

They have every right to bar the act of smoking on their premises, but they have no right to bar all nicotine from the bodies of their employees.

Hopefully someone will file against them over this one.

There are many companies, not only in the medical field doing this, and have been doing so for years. Mostly cause they get a lower insurance rate for their employees. Yes, if you smoke, or can not pass a physical, no job. I talked to a truck driver the other day and his company has went smoke free.

So all smokers, and even ex-smokers, may as well go and commit hari kiri? They may as well, as quitting doesn't even qualify you as a non-smoker? Even if you quit, you are expelled from the labor market unless you are 'American' enough to go cold turkey

Problem is, a lot of these are lower income people... probably can't afford it. Now, if they could get organized, that may be a different story.

vaping isn't smoking - it is *like* smoking for me (which made it easier to quit) because I see the vapor. Otherwise it's not much different to wearing a patch or chewing nic gum to me.
