Infinite 4nine copper side by side comparison

Pre ordered the Infinite copper, before it arrived I bought the legit.

Threads, good on both
Finish polished on Legit, brushed on clone, clone also seems to have a clear coat. 5 days of use and NO pitina
Seams , better on clone (only because of the brushed finish) IMO
Top cap, both the same
Switch button, Much deeper engraving on the clone. Both needed some 800 grit paper work to smooth out the crisp edges.
Size, the clone is taller by about 1-2 mm. with that stated you need to use the small battery spacer (magnetic) to get the mod to fire.
Throw, much shorter on the legit, even when using the spacer on the clone.
Performance. IMO no difference.

Don't you need to use the magnetic spacer on the legit as well? Isn't that the whole point of this mod?

I do NOT use the magnetic spacer on the legit, and it has a very short throw. I think the point of the 4nine mod is to have the shortest mech mod on the market. Hence the hybrid top and recessed switch.

Take a look at the pics again, there is a second "spacer magnet" added to the existing spacer on the clone. The magnetic insulator/spacer is used no matter what on both the original and clones, but the second magnet that simply sticks to the other insulator magnet is only something I've seen with clones.

Not a very good point then, considering the 4nine is not the shortest mech mod on the market There are at least three others shorter than it, with the Fortune by Fortune mods being the shortest currently available at 45mm in 18350 mode.

Ahaha, no, call it the 5two .. Infinite clone is 3mm taller than the authentic.

The authentic has only a magnetic delrin spacer to activate the switch, while the Infinite clone needs an additional magnet attached to the magnetic delrin spacer to make up for the extra 3mm in length.

I don't know how, or why Infinite botched the length on the 4nine, which kinda defeats the purpose of making a 4nine clone, because its not actually 49mm in the 350 configuration.
