tell me about it. provape did send a replacement, so that's all working fine, now. good CS at that company, i'll say! still haven't gotten a response from NotCigs on the Infinity. the guy is probably irritated with me at this point, i've emailed him so much. sigh. it was so pretty, too. bad mod karma indeed. maybe i should just quit while i'm ahead w/the provari. the new one works perfectly. am vaping it right now, in fact.

Maybe you should start another thread - "Infinity-mod / Second Impressions":(

Eh...twice, both for inop items, isn't to excessive.

Emailing him every day after you ordered asking where your unit was, THAT'S excessive LOL

If you really liked it (when working), there's not reason you couldn't keep both mods. They all serve a purpose and have their place; just some more than others. But when one goes down, it's good to have a back up.

"the guy" 's name is Mike and I am certain he will address your problem(s).

yeah, i know. but at the time i typed it at work, i didn't REMEMBER his name. i don't KNOW these builders like you guys do. i still new to this. i'll eventually commit names to memory, but it'll be a while.

No, MIKE emailed that a small handful of the units went out with a bad component. apparently, i got one of them. he'll send another one, or maybe he can use the body of the one i send back, and just replace the component. either way, eventually, i'll get it. and i'm sure i'll have similar impressions of it. seems to be my habit ordering this stuff--i get one of the few w/the problems. same thing happened w/the pro vari. i got one of the very few that had "E4" errors. unlucky at mods, I guess.

on the UPSIDE, i finished my taxes and just learned that next year, I can deduct all my recent dental work on my schedule A. so i got that going for me....

Speaking of Dental Work - - - Have you received a 'new' replacement unit yet? (the Infinity):)

Next to impossible to SEE the voltage numbers. Allegedly they are there, but good luck reading the tiny, tiny numbers. The center hash marks is 4.25v, so I'm sort of "feeling" it based on turns from the 4.25v mark. There are 10 marks on the wheel. It goes from 3-6v.

I got mine last week. There are NO numbers on mine. Just a white paint splotch (looks like White-out) on the wheel. I even dragged out the magnifying glass to confirm. Have no idea what voltage I'm on. I have the dial almost all the way to the left. THe body of the unit gets very warm and STAYS warm. What's up with that???? Not impressed with the TINY "on" button and can totally see how yours ended up getting stuck in the "on" position. Not sure if I am going to keep this.

i didn't have that problem--but the 510s do get pretty hot...or are you talking about your batteries getting hot? if your batteries are getting super hot, send it back. if it's just the atty, then that's life w/the 510. they get hot on my provari, too. i could barely see the numbers, they are on TOP of the dial, not on the front, and you need a scanning electron microscope to see them. but the hash marks in the center are half way on the voltage, so i just approximated, and it worked fine. then again, it melted. but am told the meltdown issue was only on a few units. lucky me, i got one.

BTW, except that i think the provari is just not that nice looking a unit, i do now quite like it. it took some getting used to, but i really enjoy the thicker juices on it which produce monster amounts of vapor. although, damn do i suck down a lot of liquid using it. i still like my eGos, too, though. i use the eGos in the car, the mod in the office, and at home.

ok, i'm crossing my fingers this is not going to melt again. judging from other reviews, i really did just have one of a very few bum units. again...i really, really like this thing. not seeing the numbers on the dial is not a big deal for me, i just start low and work my way up with the thumb dial. and it really, plainly, simply is the best looking mod i've seen, and it's SO lightweight. so i'm back in love with my infinity. now, let's just hope it doesn't suffer another critical failure like the first one. otherwise, mmmmmmmmmmmm.

I had to send mine back. Mike wanted to take a look at it. He's promised me a PUPPY for being so patient...LOL!
