I use nothing but C-E2 XL Carto's and Clearo's. Vape nothing other than Cinnamon, 50/50 or > % VG. That "core" seems to work best in a larger diameter container. Since I vape pretty much continuous, I find a 5 mL tank, such as the Torpedo tank, allows adequate volume of liquid and cuts the radius the wick takes down so the juice flow, (wicking), is improved. The stock tubes seem to be somewhat constricting. And my Cinnamon will eventually negatively interact with the stock Clearo tubing. Carts are different than Cartos. JMHO

I'm assuming that you mean CE2 cartomizers. The steel case ones are great but the clear plastic ones not so good. The only problem with them is that the plastic tubes crack, sometimes all by themselves, overnight. They doen't like some juices like wintergreen. I've had to replace most of my plastic tubes with syringe mods.

The Boges are good, but tend to tighten up after a few refills. The paper clip fix restores the easy draw. Just straighten out a paper clip and insert it all the way through the hole in the center of the filler and bias it toward the outer edge, then rotate the carto round and round to open up the hole. It doesn't affect the coil wire.

I've found the CE2 clearomizers to be great on taste and vapor. They are fragile, so you can't really carry them around in a pants pocket. I've rejuvenated them by taking them apart and washing the wicks and the coil in a hot water stream, then doing a dry burn to clean the coil. That works well until the clear tube begins to crack. At $2 apiece, they are a bargain. I use them 2 or 3 days and replace.

There are very simple mods to do to the ce2s that will make them work great. Check the atty coils upon first use prior to fill and use a needle to space the coils evenly. The second is to slightly pull the silicone cup plug up near the wicks on each side to allow more room for the wick. I have not had any problems since I learned these mods. Great flavor and huge vapor on my ego-t 1000mah batt.

I posted a thread about this a couple days ago.. but I recently got a 5pack of XL Clearo ce2's as well... On CE2 #4, I finally figured out how to get these things to wick correctly (without a tank mod)

I take them out of the clearo tube, I untwist the ends of the wicks (so they are strands) I then burn each side of the wick closely up to the ceramic cup with a butane torch lighter ( don't worry, they won't burn ).. then I screw the clearo guts onto a battery and proceed to dry burn it for a good couple of minutes (before ANY juice is added) I keep my eye on the coil, making sure that the coil is heating evenly and properly... then I slip them back into the tube, and add my juice.

Once juice is added, the best way I've found to tell if a ce2 is 'working' is to take your drip tip off, and fire it while looking at the coil. If it's wicking properly, the coil *should not* get red, the wick should be replacing the e-juice faster than the coil can vaporize it, thus keeping the coil cooler than red-hot. I use this test to see the highest voltage my current ce2 can 'handle' (vape without the coil turning red.. i've found once the coil gets red is when you get the nasty taste/burnt feeling).

All the CE2s I opened BEFORE I found these methods... I can't even use them on a standard 3.7v device without the coil becoming glowing-red in a matter of seconds.. the ones I did the slight modifications on can go on my VV box up to 5v without the coil getting red (It does get red at 5v.. but only after holding the fire button down for much longer than any normal drag)

I absolutely love the stainless steel CE2 rev4s. The early CE2s had a ton of problems. In the last revision they seemed to have solved a lot of these. I vape on a 3.7 volt chuck and no longer have any problems with wicking. There is always plenty of vapor production. If you start to taste a burnt taste you need to add more efluid. I have not had to mod a single cartomizer in about the last month and a half. Absolutely love them.

Stay away from the clearomizer though. They crack and are a general pain in the a**. If you want to buy a pack to see how they cartomizer tastes when its low on juice go for it. Then switch to stainless steel asap.

Oh one very very important tip! Never ever fill up your cartomizer when its on your e-cig. If you put too much fluid in them it immediately heads down the air tube and dumps out into your e-cig. Before putting the cartomizer on your e-cig take a few draws off of it to make sure there is no fluid in that air vent tube.

Hope this helps.
