I really like my iClear 30. I vape a 12mg Apple Jolly Rancher flavor in it and it's great on flavor and vapor. It's like a mix of a Vivi Nova and Protank. I boiled the parts in water for 30 minutes then soaked em in water and white vinegar overnight. No metallic taste or leaks. I filled it up to the 2.5mL line which is just to the top of the bottom coil and let it sit for 10 minutes before vaping. It's the 2.1 ohm head and it works great on a Joye Twist at 4v. My Vamo will be here this week so I'm anxious to see how it performs on it.

umm, I think the original post was about the iclear 30 not firing. I'm having that issue right now. It was working great for me before, but now when I hit the button I hear a very faint hiss from the coils, but there's nothing for vapor coming out at all. I'm using an ego twist right now. when I try it on my ecab, the light flashes everytime I push the button. What's going on?

I have one iClear 30 that is working well...great vapor (although flavor a little odd, but I'll try boiling the parts and see what happens), but my other iClear 30 isn't producing much vapor at all. The head is on there tight enough (not overtightened), and I changed the head on it and still weak vapor. Could it be the unit itself? It sounds like its firing, but hardly any vapor.

Chiming in here. I have an iclear30. I LOVE IT!! I just filled it to the max line and started vaping. Never leaks, vapes like a freight train at 9.0 watts and have excellent flavor. Once they get this baby in pyrex, I will never have to buy any other tanks again. The iclear30 is the best tank I have ever used.

Buy the way, I think the Protank SUCKS! I had 2 of them. Extremely airy draw and burns juice so easily it is pathetic. Can't run it over 4.0 watts without burnt nasty flavor. But a lot of people love them, so to each their own I guess. I'll stick with innokin!

It's my experience that anything with that much wicking material is gonna give issues and bcc be they cartos or tanks are more efficient and less hassle.

Basically you want as close to a dripping experience as possible for getting the best out of your juice.

Thus you want a device where there is as least possible distance between the juice and the coil as possible and as little wick.

EGO-c does this well but the tightness of the wicking spike can cause it to be too tight a draw for some and cannot handle dark vg at all.

Evods have minimal wick and distance between wick and coil and after i had some initial problems with mine, I find they are the best thing I have tried yet (bar direct dripping but that can be a PITA.)

Again large cartos also, the wick directly touchest the coil - less performance issues.

Also gravity - the less work the juice has to do to get to the coil - the less difficult...

This bottom feeding devices in theory would work better. I say theory as some people obviously know how to make their top coil devices work and love them, so with most things vape related, it really depends from person to person....

Chiming in again here. I spoke too soon! The Iclear is great from full to half tank, after that it starts to dry burn a little. After 3 tank fulls, liquid starts to darken and muted flavor begins. Clean it, refill it, and back to awesome taste and lots of vapor. So I guess there is a downside to the iclear after all. I still like it, but I am chomping at the bit waiting for a dual coil bottom feeder that is glass!! I now have an Anyvape Davide glass tank and it seems much better than the protanks I used. I do not know why my original 2 protanks burned juice soooo bad, but they did. Could not vape them over 4.0 watts. The Davide 2.2ohm hits like a champ at 7.0 - 8.0 watts. NICE!!

i cleaned my atomizer heads in rubbing alcohol then boiled all the parts to the tank. still bad taste. i going to vape on it for a while and see if it clears up. what is the optimal voltage for these things. also i am having terrible issues with leaking. what can i do about that. i filled it up to about 2.5 and still getting liquid all over the top of my battery. So frustrating. Hehe, and to top it off, i got my itaste svd in the mail today along with some batteries and a charger, the batteries have been charging for 4 hours and still not done so i havn't been able to try out my svd yet. Im not usually one to complain but my day is going as i would have liked it to go today. I had such high hopes.

It is ill advised to clean your components in rubbing alcohol. Stick to grain alcohol, the higher proof the better.

Day 2 of using my iclear 30 that came with my MVPv2... I'm loving the thing, compared to my evod tanks the thing is a dream! No leaks, no gurgles, gotta flip it around when its down to about a third tank to avoid dry burn but I'm using 70vg/30pg juice so that's fine. Does use juice like a tank tho, but that's the only real negative I've found yet

I must echo some of the earlier posts on here. I feel that right now the iclear30 was a bust. Great idea but bad performance. I still have a practically brand new tank that I have only used for a few days about 2 months ago. The wicks completely fell apart after cleaning them with hot water by hand. It has been sitting in my draw de crap since then. I rebuild my own heads (vivi nova, T3, evod, protank) and they work great. For some reason the draw feels VERY tight on the iclear and you can't rebuild it. I got the 2.1 ohm version and I have an ego c twist (genuine) that no matter what setting I put it on, it does nothing to improve the draw. The flavor sucks as well compared to the protank, for example. EVERY, I mean EVERY other device I have functions light years better than the iclear30.

I will be looking to get rid of this thing asap. One man's trash is another man's gold.

I have been loving my IClear 30's for several months, however recently I have been having serious quality problems with the replacement coils. Half of them fire only one coil or don't fire at all. I also had a couple go up half way through their first tank. I hope this is not a trend.
I fire the 2.1 Ohm replacement coils at 10.0 watts on a SVD as per Phil's video. They work great when you get a good coil, but this is getting expensive.

I have to ask ....sorry. I know it says to be careful when filling but it sounds like there is juice down the center hole.
I have the 16's and love them.
The reason they are so good is with 2 resisters (heating coils) in parallel, total circuit resistance is less than any one of the individual resistors. so 2+2 doesnt = 4.... it still only equals 2
most heating coils the wire has 5 wraps around 1 wick, in the Iclear you get 8 wraps around both wicks. 16 total ...more heating coil wraps on the wick = lots more vapor and flavor!!!

I got a i30 with my mvp v2 and right out the box the thing was solid gold as far as vape production goes although it did seem to have a slight negative effect on the flavor of every juice I've tried in it thus far. I also had an issue with gurgling and small leaks onto the battery post still does that time to time no idea why though. my protank 2 did the same thing I changed the atomizer and no since then no leaks maybe differences in manufacturing? Overall the innokin i30 is a great top coil not as good as their iclear 16s (which are nearly maintenance free aside from the occasional cleaning and coil replacement) and not as good as some bcc i own now but in my experience the i30s are great tanks. One thing that does bother me about the i30 (I have the same issue with my PT2) is if I vape anything above 3.7-3.9v I get a nasty burnt taste which confounds me.

For parallel resistance 2+2 = 1, I think.

I have two iclear 30's and I like them but I think that they give a metallic taste to my e-liquids after a while. No leakage so far and these are the ONLY tanks that I can say that about so far!

Have 2 iclear 30's that work like a champ. No leaks BUT one of them started to have a really hard draw. (SVD). Everything looks clean. Have to try boiling it but it seems weird to me.

On the other hand, have a kanger protank 3... worst tank on the planet. Only fair flavor and leaks like a sieve.
