Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's the cinnamon. I put a new coil in this afternoon when I got home. I had been vaping something different in a different tank but after switching back to the spartan with a fresh coil the cinnamon taste was really there. It's beginning to mellow out a little now. Lesson learned. Read the full description of juice before you buy it. Tasting it in the shop I really didn't notice it. I bought a bottle because I initially liked it. Hence the need for a dripper to sample juices. (Trying to justify another trip to the vape shop?)

I'm running 16W on a 1.8 ohm Aspire BVC and it's great.

I'm vaping a fairly thin juice though, otherwise I'm sure I would get burnt hits. Other juices I couldn't really go any higher than 11.
The Aspire BVC's probably give the best vape of all replacement coils. Horizon makes what they call a BTC "Bottom Turbine Coil" for the spartan tanks. It appears to be built exactly like the BVC'S only larger.

I sometimes stil been getting burnt hits from the 2.1 ohm coils that came with my innokin gladius, so I watched some videos and ended up pulling out the silica wicks and put Japanese cotton in and seriously no more burnt hits and can actually hit it a lot harder without worrying about the burnt taste. Silica wick just doesn't absorb the liquid fast enough for me. I will definitely be getting a rebuildable tank for my MVP 20w soon. It has so much more potential. So all in all not really impressed with the gladius as it comes out of the box.

I'm starting to believe there's nothing out of the box stock that will give us the vape we're looking for. The only clearo I've found that gives me a really satisfying vape is the Aspire ET-S with the BVC coil. I just purchased a BTC coil for my Spartan. Basically it's a bottom vertical coil. We'll see where that takes me.

Just placed my name order. My local shop here in town wanted almost $60 for the tank. Also I really don't recommend the gladius to anyone.

The owners of the shop are great and I'm not bashing them at all. I understand they have to make money but I'm not paying 40-50% more for hardware. Clearos and coils? Sure. There was this girl in there this morning though that told me I had to have a mech if I was planning on getting into rebuildables. I'm already considering buying one anyhow but that was just absurd what she was telling me. I'll let them know about it next time I see them.

Try the 1.5 coils on the Gladius.

Mine is great on the MVP20W @ 7W.
