When you charge your iSticks, do you turn them off? I always do, because I can see the charging display from across the room if it's off, but not if it's on, it's too small. I notice that any problems with the 30w's seem to happen while charging, so maybe the always turning them off is why mine have been so trouble-free.

Andria

I started always turning all my mods off during usb charging when Bikenstein's 50w started autofiring all the time. I also turn them off at night and take off the attys. Don't know if all that makes a difference, but I feel safer. And for the record, I've never had a bit of a problem with my istick 30w either.

The weird thing is, eLeaf/iSmoka seems to be owned by/or a division of Joyetech. There is some kind of relationship there, but who knows what that means in China. You would think that the quality would be similar between companies.

Yeah they are one of the same pretty much , Joytech knows exactly whats going on with Eleaf refusing to warranty their products and many believe is behind the over the top praising of it's own products on so many e cig forums .

I don't mind someone giving great reviews but some people are just so ridiculously over the top with the product praise it becomes obvious somethings not right . I have seen a few titles started with "Istick, best mod ever , nothing can compare" no joke and people caught on this person was involved with the company for sure.

Even known issues with the 20 watt version with it not down regulating correctly was immediately dismissed by the OP who insisted it was the most accurate device on the market which everyone knew was false. If your going to have many accounts under different names to only praise your own products and criticize other manufacturers don't make it so obvious , accept a little criticism or it's not going to be believable .

Here's a better idea , don't do it at all , if it's a good product customers will let you know.

Does anyone know how long it should take the cf4 to Charge? I usually plug in when on yellow or lil less than half. I charge it till the light goes off. Should it take hours?

It can take about 2 to 3 hours to charge my MVP 20 watts. Not sure about the CF4.

I just noticed that my CF4's light never turns off when I'm charging it... I used it all day and charge it at night, but in the morning the light continues to be on...

I never turn my iSticks off when charging and haven't had any problems, so far, knock on wood. I like them for their small size but won't be buying any more of them. I do like the CF4 better, better shape/size for me, and I'm pretty happy with TC stuff. I can't imagine the quality of the iStick TC would be very good at all.

What size, current capacity, wall wart are you using? I use a 1.5 amp, 1500mah, wall wart and my CF charges from "cut off" to full in three or four hours. I hope you're not charging off a PC USB port! A wall wart costs under ten bucks, a PC costs a heck of a lot more! Plus, current capacity is fairly limited on a PC port.

Ha! I feel like such a noob! I had to google "wall wart" (this is the first time I've heard/read this term).

I kind of use the one that came with the Samsung light phone... Have not checked the specs... Now I will

Sounds like it could be a problem; I've never seen it take more than a couple hours, even when starting on "yellow" -- but the bigger problem is undoubtedly charging it unattended, while you're sound asleep.. so that if the caca hit the fan, at first you wouldn't even know it, until it became such a problem you had to evacuate the house while the fire dept hoses it down... that is, if you woke up at all.

Seriously, this is why I got 2 iSticks, so I could vape one while the other charges; now that I also have a CF4 which I use the most, the only time I really use the iSticks is if the CF4 is charging.

Just ordered the Evic last night so soon I'll have a 4th to add to that rotation. I also still have 2 Sigelei Zmax's and a Vamo which for some unaccountable reason ('cause they're crap, right? or so I heard many many times :sneaky:) is still working, almost a year later. The Evic will probably become my ADV since I vape my strawberry & cream in my Achilles, which is the atty that got me interested in TC. That 5000mAh will last for DAYS -- I can get 2 days out of my iSticks and CF4! :D

Thanks for the info and your concern, @AndriaD ! I will have to look into this... and I gave my iStick 30w to my wife (She's off the analogs!!) so I am going to have to wait a few months to get a couple of "rotation" devices (unless I win one in one of the contests)
