Finish staying nice on Coolfire? I may get a colored one.

I resisted getting the CF4 for some time. I didn't think I really "needed" yet another mod at that point, but then Phiniac announced they were doing custom etching (sandblasting) and 3 different protective clear coatings. I could NOT resist.

Mine is the Stardust finish, and tho it is sparkly, it's not over the top. They also do a Mirror finish, and a basic clear coat. According to their site, "Etching exposes the bare metal on the areas of the mod that have been etched. In order to protect the bare metal from the elements we powder coat each mod with a basic clear coat FREE of charge. If you would like you can choose to upgrade your finish to either Stardust (a sparkly clear coat) or Mirror (a very shiny high gloss clear coat) for $4.00."

This protective clear coating also helps to make the mod's finish more scratch and chip resistant. Like any coating, it's not impervious, but it does help!

I have a strange feeling about this one. First the price is too good to be true. The body sells separably for more than the body and the battery together. Also the site specifies free shipping over $50 yet when added to the cart there is no shipping charge. Things just don't look right.

Seems legit, $30 for the body or battery...although that's expensive for the battery.

Not so you select both with color choices and place in cart. It is the entire unit. Shipping has now appeared at $4.99

That's what it did for me as well. I Googled the company, they made a post on Reddit a year ago. I didn't find any complaints on them? at that price I may jump.

Edit: Not TC :(

On my black it's been durable, I have heard the blue or red wasn't as durable but it was just one guy. I haven't heard anyone else complain.

The CF4 is a great device, I don't know one person who has purchased one and not loved it.

I've got a stock purple (Kat calls it pink) and a blue "Phinished" one (Phiniac etched & coated). Both are excellent, and I find myself reaching for them as often as my higher-end options.

"Bang for the buck" personified. They truly are fantastic little devices.

I'm trying to decide if I should get a Coolfire 4 or an mvp pro. I think I'm leaning a bit to the pro but the form factor of the Coolfire sounds good. Not sure battery life is that much of a concern. I primarily use external battery mods but I want a better internal battery mod as a backup.

I opted for the MVP 3.0 Pro 60w, that will be 3 months ago on Sept. 7th. I liked my blue 60w so much I got a 2nd in black. Both have been flawless. I use about 4 to 4.2ml each day. It takes 2 days for me to get down to 3.68 volts (that's when I put them on the charger) and I even went 2.5 days once to see how long it would really go. It would have went further but I chickened out.

I think it depends on how you vape and what kind of tank you use. I use an iSub G with the .5 ohm coil and have mine set at 13w (which I found out from everyone here is pretty low for sub ohm vaping) with the airflow wide open. I probably could get away with the Coolfire IV as a daily user. If I switched to my Nautilus which I vape at 11w with a 1.8 ohm coil, again the C IV would probably be fine. I wanted longer battery life though, that way if I forgot to charge my mod I wouldn't be SOL.

The finish has been pretty durable even though both have been dropped on hardwood floors, my garage floor, and who knows what else when they slid out of my pocket. Both have a couple very small spots where the paint chipped, I really had to look to find them on the blue 60w. That's plenty durable as far as I'm concerned and the yt stress test video mt baker vapor put out was great.
Here it is-

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be thorough.

They also have a FB page with a couple positive comments...not that it means anything as some have things posted on purpose but....who knows!...The website sure needs some work though!....There is a very small "F" at the very bottom to access FB.

I have been scanning other vendors. The disrupter is falling below $40 at many of them. I believe the soon to be released TC unit may be affecting sales.

I'm back, finally. Didn't try to catch up on all three months of the thread, but I am interested in the Coolfire 4. I think that will be my vapeversary gift to myself.

Was very surprised and grateful to win a Disrupter and cell this summer, and like it better than this tootle puffer thought I would. It's heavier than the MVPs, but much easier to use. The firing button design is so much better, on the skinny side and in the same larger recessed area as the controls and screen. I'm definitely going to get some more cells for it, but not until after the cf4.

Another Innokin should fit in pretty well.

Welcome back and good to see you. The CFIV is a great device much more pocketable that the MVP. It has become my favorite carry whenever I need a little more than what a VV can offer (btw there is a link above for $10 VV 3's, I bought 5 more to PIF). You have GOT to see what Phiniac is doing in the realm of laser etching for the CFIV. For very short money you can get some really cool designs or even custom art http://phiniac.com/mods.php .
