New to the Innokin line, just got my vape mail today with a Coolfire IV and Kanger subtank mini. I've been hitting it hard with some local high VG juice and blowing some holy cow clouds.

To be fair I am new to VV and VW mods and sub ohming, so it likely won't impress the hard core, I've been vaping a Phidias mod running 510 atties at 1.5 ohms, pretty old school actually but still smoking so I'm hoping this pushes me over the edge to quit completely.

So far this setup is kicking ...., good.stuff.

Thanks!!! I'm gonna give the contest one more day, see if I manage to be one of the runners-up, and if so, if the CF IV is still available -- but if not, to either of those, that's a great coupon, thanks!!!

Might be time to consider trying some WTA ejuice...

Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

I agree, if the dependence is physical rather than psychological, WTA could help a great deal -- but cheaper from wholecig.com.

Just ordered myself a silver one -- thanks for that coupon! Even with the $4.99 shipping (pretty high for "ground" (slow!) transport, isn't it?), it still came in under $40.

Thx!

I just ordered myself a Gold MVP 3.0 Pro from them, couldn't beat the price, came to $44.95 after coupon code, added 2 coils to my cart for free shipping, came to $50.97 with the free 10ml bottle of MP juice.

How does the subtank mini fit on the Coolfire IV any hang over? I really thinking I need to order one for myself! On my MVP20w there is a little hang over on side end, not that is is that bad of a hang over.

Fits great, I saw a YouTube video showing the Kanger mini and that's why I paired them. I'll try to upload a photo showing it, but the CF-IV is about 1mm larger than the tank.

I thought you guys might like some comparison shots so I grabbed a couple I-sticks from the vape shop and did a little comparison shoot.

I am really liking this device. If it can survive a few months of the torture test that is being my main vape , it will probably replace my MVP's for much of my carry needs that need a little more mah than the VV's give.

MVP, Coolfire IV, I-stick 50, Istick 30:

Yes, but apparently you have to use THEIR tank for it, which makes it essentially useless for those who already have tanks/RDAs they like. Already a thread about it, and it really doesn't seem all that revolutionary, when you have to buy-in to a whole proprietary technology.

Interesting didn't know you would only be able to use their tanks, I haven't seen the post/thread.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Measuring the resistance change of nickel or titanium is fairly easy. Measuring the resistance change of Kanthal or nichrome requires some very high resolution and accuracy since they both change resistance very little as they heat up which is why they are used for heating elements in the first place. The easiest way to measure their temperature would be with an additional sensor on the coil. I am guessing that Innokin is doing something along those lines to control temperature with Kanthal coils which would make it proprietary to Innokin. That's why it really doesn't interest me, I wouldn't be able to use my favorite tanks and be stuck with a replaceable head tank instead of building my own coils and wicks.

In a way, it's a shame. Innokin always seems to make a great device, but misses the boat on details and is slow to adapt to new technology. I'm working on stuffing a DNA25 in a VTR at the moment. Can't beat the form factor of the VTR.

Exactly why I don't feel it's terribly revolutionary -- it might be, sometime, but not yet. I like Kayfuns, I like not being shackled to expensive replacement coils or the slow USPS to bring them!
