Rut ro... I think I may have a problem with my brand new CF IV. I can't seem to change the wattage OR voltage setting; it seems to be utterly stuck at 10w -- which is where I usually leave it, but when breaking in a new wick I always decrease it to 9 or 9.5 and only go up after the wick starts vaping really well. Is there some kind of "lock" setting that isn't mentioned in the little manuaal, or do I have a problem? I've turned it on and off, both with 3-clicks and the off/on button on the bottom; I've switched to voltage mode, and it's also stuck, at 5.5v. It'll do everything else it's supposed to... except change the wattage or voltage.

As others have said, hold either + or - for three seconds until it flashes, then you have to release the button and press it again (do not hold it down). After that you can make single adjustments or hold it down to quickly scroll. Hope that helps!

You have to pres on either the +/- button for about 5 seconds until it starts blinking and then you can change them. Stops accidental V/W pocket bumps.

OMG! You'd think they'd mention something like that in the dang manual to prevent unnecessary PANIC!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got it to change -- had to dig it back out of its little foam bed in its box, since I was convinced it was BROKEN!

David -- pressing them both at once is how you flip the display, on the Coolfire4.... trust me I tried everything!! I even pressed each button on its own and held it, saw it start flashing, but it didn't occur to me to then let up and press again! Good lord, what idiots, to have a completely undocumented FEATURE like that!!!

I bet after they get a bunch of needless returns, they'll put out a new booklet -- with that feature documented!!!

Hey, it's not as bad when I thought mine was DOA because I pulled a @pbusardo and forgot about the on/off switch!

ROFL... could easily have happened to me, but fortunately it was in the "ON" position when I got it.

Seriously, I did wonder, and ask, if there was this kind of locking feature, since the iStick has a feature like that too -- but there is not a single thing about it, in the little manual -- I looked!!! But frantically, so I thought it entirely possible that I had just missed it. But I don't think it's mentioned at all.

Luckily I'm not the type to read manuals and YouTube explained it before I got it.

Yeah I saw that too, in that silly manual -- it wasn't working as described, so I checked the change to voltage heading, and realized it works the same as the vv3s. But the vv3s don't have the locking feature, and I haven't used that feature with my iSticks, so it wasn't immediately apparent to me, what was going on, or how to fix it.... you'd think they'd at least MENTION it in the manual!

At least (?) it's a fixed battery mod. The SVD manual tells you how to put the battery in - backwards! Thank the powers that be that it's reverse polarity protected!

Since no one warned me off the Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro 60W, I pulled the trigger and have a black one on order. Big boxes don't scare me, I've carried a Phidias for years, but I'll let you know how I like when it gets here.

I like the Coolfire IV, really like it, but the 2000mAh battery scares me a little since my wife and I are going on vacation in Cancun for a week (25th wedding anniversary ) and I don't want to be out and about and run out of power. For a half day trip or going to work where I have power it's fine, but so far I've found I have to recharge at least once a day and in the evening.

Hoping the 4500mAh box will allow me to go all day and half the night without worry. The CF-IV build quality is great so Innokin gets another order from me. Unlike most here (it seems at least, from reading posts) I don't have a closet full of mods, tanks and RDAs. I have the CF-IV and a subtank mini at the moment, soon to add MVP pro and another subtank.

ROFL... I'm a computer geek, I'm all over the "RTFM"! When I used to run a DOS BBS, I remember printing reams and reams on my old dot-matrix printer, all the configuration options for the software.

Yes, I am looking for a review or two on the MVP Pro. Like to see what kind of signal it has. Be nice if it had an Evolve board like the SVD.

right there with you Jaguar G. I have the 3.0 and if you used the Phidias you'll do fine. battery life a big plus. I get almost 2 days out of mine.

I find it interesting that a lot of the new devices come out at $60-100 pricing and most drop quickly to $20-40. I think USA buyers don't mind spending around the cost of a carton of smokes but have a hard time justifying more.

In my area, a carton comes in around $80 or so, depending on the extra local taxes. So even at first release prices, pretty close. And a new mod sure lasts longer than a carton!

I think part of the rapid price drop is the frequency that new models are coming out. Hard to keep a "high" price on say a 30 watt regulated mod when your competitor comes out with a 50 for the same $$.
