Yeah that's another reason I prefer the CF4s now...you have to hold the button down till it flashes, before you can change it. MUCH better plan!

I hate and love this feature. Hate it when I go to adjust it, love it when I go to adjust it and the wattage is where I left it.

fivefour it is like kennel cough. Had him on a cillin for 10 days, started Cipro tonight. I wonder if it is valley fever.

My mom just adopted a stray and she is also suffering from the same issue, took her to the vet and they gave her antibiotics. She was doing a bit better until the 'biotics were gone. Poor girl also has congenital heart disease, vet said it was amazing she has lived to be as old as she is (approximately 6). She is the happiest, most playful and energetic dog so hopefully she will be okay for a few more years

She is in the same boat as far as the cough is concerned.

Why did your vet charge so much? X-rays I'm guessing? They tested for heart worms I hope since a cough is a common symptom.

My draw to it is I have never had a new Provari (only a PIF'd that I Re-PIF'd), it's box style but rounded so comfortable to hold, and finally it's small and light. The vape quality is of utmost importance but we all know it will be smooth as a mechanical.

Like BUTTAH!

One of the reasons I prefer mods that allow you to lock the settings and still vape. Just can't change settings without unlocking.

Agreed! I didn't think I'd appreciate that feature, but I've grown to really like it!

Paul, sorry about your dog. Truly. :(

Sitting down, facing forward.
You got off lucky, Paul. Bo got us up at 4AM one day, two weeks ago. We ended up at the emergency vet. He had a temp of 104 and elevated liver enzymes. Two days in the hospital on IV antibiotics followed by two weeks of two antibiotics orally. A tone of tests and they still couldn't put a finger on exactly what had caused the fever. He's fine now, but the bill was more than ten times what you paid, and that was two months after surgery when he got the bloat. I could have bought a new pickup truck by now!

All 3 are up to date on their shots and take Heartguard monthly. We had several summer dust storms blow through this year and we suspect it was something in the soil or dust. The 255 was what the lab charges for whatever the test was. We have a mom and 2 sons. The boys have the cough but so far not the mom. They haven't been outside of the fenced yard in months so it shouldn't be from contact with a sick dog.

Back in the 80s we had a spaniel mix that ate a yard mushroom and it almost killed his liver. Hundreds of dollars for that one.

Sorry about your pooch, I just took my girl in for limping. Turns out my Pit Luci-Fur has a torn ACL. I'm in the process of looking for a vet that can do the surgery, my regular vet doesn't operate on dogs larger than 25 lbs for some reason and Luci is 87 lbs. My other girl Charlotte was coughing and getting sick, she's a 13 year old English Mastiff. We had to split her meals up from 2 to 4 a day. That cured the coughing and vomiting. Unfortunately this might be her last year, her teeth are nubs and she has started losing weight. Too bad they all can't live forever.

I hope they figure it out for your dog. Not knowing is the worst:(

Been vaping on my old MVP 2 this weekend. Goes over 500 puffs before the red. I have a few devices and none of them gives as smooth a vape as the MVP. The SVD 2 is nice but in 18350 it weighs a lot more than an MVP and battery indicator ramp up drives me nuts. Wish Innokin made a lightweight tube with the MVP 20W chip.

was playing with my 2 yr old MVP 11w some lately

the fire button switch is worn out (hard push to make connection)

but as you say, it delivers smoothly and the battery still lasts

just a splendid device, still stands up to todays models...

Have you held a CFIV? If 40w, 2000mah with no temp. control will do it for you, it is a sweet device to hold and carry and I think it is just as smooth a vape as the MVP.

Been away from here for awhile and I think the vaping world has passed me by. I still use my MVP 11W daily but if it died (no indication that will happen) I would have no idea what to buy. Did they quit making MVP's? I thought they were like up to MVP 3's. Is the CFIV the new replacement for MVP? Searched up a pic and they look handy enough....

They're up to 3's, and I think 60w, with the MVPs, or maybe even further.

The CF4s are 40w (I never go over 10w!), and a LOT less boxy and humongous than the MVPs have ever been, plus they have the button in the right place, on the narrow side instead of the face, so the shape and button-placement makes them a great deal more ergonomic. The thing I liked best when I first read the stats is that it has a 15sec cutoff instead of 10sec. Not really a huge deal in practice, but nice that the capability is there!

The CF4s are 2000mAh, but I've found that a 2000mAh LiPo lasts easily twice as long as a 2000mAh IMR, if not even longer -- as I've noted elsewhere, my 2250 and 2000 mAh IMRs generally lasted me about 6-ish hrs; with my CF4s, I can get a full day, 14-16 hrs, without even coming close to the cut-off point.

And a small shout out and plug for Phiniac. They do all sorts of great designs for the CoolFires!

Time for some Andria pics? :D

Absotively. :D

coolfire4triplet.jpg

That silver one on the left was flung violently out of my lap onto the driveway once when I exited the truck, so about 4 ft with some force, and all it did was give it a little ding on the bottom edge; still works perfectly.

The red one was my 1-yr no-smoke-a-versary present to myself. The pink one was an error, they did it instead of the red one at first, and since my name is spelled so oddly, they offered it to me at cost -- well, my mom didn't raise any stupid kids (just oddly-spelled ones!). :D

I expect next year to pick up a purple one and a gold one, probably also Phiniac etched, though with a different design -- 2 with my name is sufficient to remind me of who I am. :D

Though I'm also interested in the disrupters, being able to mix-and-match colors is a cool thing. But, they're more boxy than the CF4s, so I'm still kinda debating it with myself...

Oh, and by the way, RIP little white V3. We had a good run, oh yes we did.

R.I.P. Pearly white... my 3 still work, but all are afflicted with that pushed-down-post problem, so they've been filed under "extreme backup".
