The cheap price and the fact that they fit every tank they make is why I love the iSub coils and tanks. The iSub coils were actually cheaper than the Aspire coils that I was buying. The price for the iSub and the iSub G tanks were lower priced than most other sub-ohm tanks. The flavor, airflow, and vapor production were all superior to my Aspire tanks I have and tried too. But that's just my preference. Ten others might say the flavor from an Aspire tank is better.

I've thrown one iSub coil away so far, I soak them for a few days in Golden Grain 190 proof alcohol now ($20 in a Kentucky liquor store) then let them dry for a few days wrapped in a paper towel. I use just enough to cover the coil in the bottom of a shot glass, maybe a 5th or an 8th of a shot.

I get 2 to 3 weeks out of a iSub coil (.5 ohm) before it needs to be cleaned. I vape at 12w to 13w with the airflow wide open so my coils don't get badly cooked along with juices that aren't very dark so that probably has something to do with the relative ease that they clean up along with how long they last.

If they come out with a rebuildable coil then I might try it. But right now I can make the coils last for months and months. The coil I tossed started being used in June 2015, I finally threw it away last week. It has been rotating with a second coil since June so about 3 months of total use. With a $2 a piece price, that averages out to .66c a month. Maybe .10c in alcohol. And it takes a few seconds to pour the alcohol so I can't really count that. So around .76c a month, that's pretty cheap.

Anyone know how much they're spending for supplies and time per coil by going the rebuildable route?
Is there any other way to clean them? My juices are sugary so I'm going thru a lot of them just because of taste. I'm using them in the apex ...the 2.0 ohm. At least one a week.

Okay, I did it.
I bought a MVP Pro from MFS. I know I said that I have wanted a coolfire 4, but the pro was only 10$ more!
That battery life should last me for a week!
This will be my first and last internal battery.
That is it for me and mods!
This time I am serious!
I have blown my budget until March.:(

Well, keep in mind that electronics are not immortal, and the FDA is working hard on making these electronic gizmos either 10 times as expensive, or non-existent.... so you might want a half-dozen more, as vapocalypse insurance... ;)

It's strange that really there has not surfaced a truly spectacular mod. AKA "The perfect mod". Does not exist and more than likely never will exist. Most of my too many mods are acceptable. A few are too big. A few are too small. A few too hot. A few not hot enough. A few beautiful. A few ugly. Most fairly nice in appearance. The one thing I will say is I never met an Innokin that I didn't like. There may be some aspects I would prefer that were different but all have nice appearance and function well. In the "affordable" range of mod mods you know you will not be really disappointed by an Innokin. More likely you will be quite pleased.

I've got a few I would characterize as such. I guess it's all how one feels...

I've only had 2 Innokin models, the vv3 (3 of 'em) and the CF4 (3 of those too!), but I have to say, they're really about the best-made mods I've owned. I've been enjoying my iPV Mini, but the 510 threads are so ragged, they've damaged the threads on my favorite Achilles, to the point that I can no longer screw that favorite Achilles into my favorite (red!) CF4, without an adapter. I'm hoping I'll be able to repair both the Achilles' 510 connector, and the threads on the iPV *and* the red CF4, with the proper die and tap -- I showed the ebay listings for those to my husband tonight, that some kind folks in the Achilles thread had given me the links for, and my husband is apparently quite familiar with those tools, and sees no problem with doing the repair, once I get the tools.

I hadn't realized just how smooth and perfect the CF4's threads were, until I had a mod with such raggedy threads. :grr:

I thought the VTR was the "end all" mod for me, then it turned out the power was too limited when I started with RTAs. Now, I think the DNA200, or some of the YiHi chips, is about as good as it's going to get for a while. All the power you need and TC to go with it. The package it's in is problematic though. I just built an ERM+ and it's really nice, but I still prefer the low tank form factor of the VTR. Problem is there's just not enough room in a VTR body for a DNA200 and the LiPO it needs, or three 18650s.

"The perfect mod". Does not exist and more than likely never will exist.

Since "perfect" in this arena (and perhaps in ALL arenas!) is actually a subjective evaluation...

Hard for anything, no matter what, to be ideal for every individual. Sure, some things will be common, like good regulation (if regulated, of course!), efficiency of the chips, solid construction and materials.

But otherwise? Perfect tube mod? Box? Either might fit my hand well, but be too small/big/chunky/hard edged for someone else's hand.

So a universal perfect mod? I agree, Dan, won't be found. Perfect for me? Like DP, I have some :)
