Innokin has lost tons of business due to their over the top focus on safety imo .

Sure safety's important but when you won't listen to your customers who said over and over and over that they want more replaceable battery mods , specifically 18650 types your going to pay the price because your not releasing mods that customers really want .

They are releasing mods that they like and think are the next "big thing" but they are not what customers want .

The latest VTR is a perfect example , i mean what are they thinking lol. Not only did they depart from it's incredibly successful and highly sought after design but they took away the removable battery option on top of it , i mean :eek::eek::shock::shock::shock:.
I know... Sad really isn't it. They are concerned with safety almost to a fault (odd statement huh?) Another example is not allowing customers to upgrade their own firmware but instead having them send their units into innokin for the upgrade? Innokin says this is so people won't hack the code and upgrade to unsafe levels....WHAT!!
If someone hacks the code then innokin is off the hook liability wise. So that doesn't make much sense to me.
I personally don't mind a built in lipo battery but I want to be able to access it when that day comes. I love Innokin and I credit their MVP2 with helping me get off the cigarettes but I long ago branched out and started using other devices and don't regret it at all. I am pulling for innokin's success though and it's hard to compete with the overall quality of their devices. It's a bunch of the peripherals that need a proper sorting imo.

It boggles my mind just how much they have lost their way , i really don't get it lol. Even a Coolfire 4 with a replaceable 18650 would be a good start imo .

Exactly, and I agree with most of the other above.

Not knowing when or what the deeming will do to us, let alone all the State and local regs, long term supportability is essential to get my $$. It MUST take standard batteries - i.e. 18650 - to get more than a glance from me.

I was a true blue Innokin fan as well. At the time I quit smoking, the MVP2 was the perfect box to help me do it. I have a bunch of Innokin stuff sitting in my drawer because the rest of the industry has long passed them in functionality and design. Not sure that they are ever going to be able to get back on track. I had high hopes for the new VTR (my favorite mod ever) but I agree that it does not look like it will match the original. Too bad.

My VTR was my work mod for the longest time. Never ever, not one single time Failed me. Doubled as a weapon in sketchy situations:). Loved that mod as well. Still got it somewhere. ..Don't think any of my current tanks fit inside anymore. That mod was awesome as well imo..

It is mind boggling that Innokin didn't come out with the same basic design with improvements , it's ridiculously popular.

They should be looking really closely at the XVOstick. It is pretty well the perfect design for a side by side. Similar design, solid Innokin chips and a slightly deeper atty well and they would have a winner.

I just don't understand what they are doing. There have been several mods released from them since the disruptor and the innocell yet the disruptor is still the only one to use it. I thought having a swappable battery like that that would work with all or most of their newer stuff was the whole point otherwise why not just build one in or use 18650s. It just seems pointless to have it and only use it for the one device.

I believe their next TC device will use the innocell.

There were pictures of a Disrupter with TC control. It had extended tabs on the control side top and bottom. I don't believe it was ever released. I have a feeling the new 3000mah battery may be more suitable for higher watts. It may be a possibility.

The innocell is an improvement but still not what most are requesting and want , start making 18650 replaceable mods , it's not that hard .
I agree. I just purchased a dual 18650 device, my other two devices also use 18650s. Only device I have that doesn't is the CF4.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I have multiple 18650 devices, multiple LiPO pack devices (DNA200), an iStick and a CF4 in regular use. The CF4 is fine, reasonable battery life, but would be so much better IF it took an 18650 instead. When it dies, assuming it's the battery that dies, I will be taking it apart to see if I can convert it to 18650.

Innokin makes a nice, durable, device. The quality has always been good although I've had a number of failures, two VTRs and two CF2's. Unless they manage to come out with something really outstanding, like the VTR was at its release, I doubt I'll be buying any more though. Building another box mod, even with a battery half, is nothing more than another box mod and being able to service the battery is a key feature to me.
