I think I'm about to re-wick and dry burn my Drunker. It seems like a good day to tinker. I will try to get pictures of the process for you guys.

I did want to pop in here and show you the cheapest Drunker I've found to date... Just under $9
Smok Drunker 5 ml tank

That didn't last long. Nothing shows up now.

I didnt see this asked yet but this is a 50 page thread and maybe i missed that info... also my vape is really warm compared to my carto tank at a 2.2 ohm coil, at only 3.4 volts.

Adeline, thanks for starting this thread and introducing me to the Drunker and rebuild methods. You even got me to switch to cotton. I just got 3 Drunkers in the mail today. I was too lazy to rewrap a coil, so I just cut out the stock wick and slapped in some cheese cloth in one of them. It is soaking now...will hopefully know how I like it before I head to work tonight! I may try one of the other ones with the silica wick just to tell the difference between silica and cotton.

I hope you enjoy it! Cheesecloth takes a bit of time to soak perfectly.. Maybe you could get cotton balls going in another one of them! :D

Let us know!

I went to Radioshack today to pick up something to clean a battery contact.

I saw this thing called a wire wrapping tool or something like that.

I almost bought it...

I might still, the manager there had my all googly-eyed. I had no qualms going back for something ELSE to fix the battery contact. ;)

For battery contacts, I always started with a pencil eraser--the pink ones found on wooden pencils, that would quickly wear a hole in a piece of paper if you erased too long in one spot. 2nd choice would have been the eraser for ink/typewriter. Both of these had fine grit embedded in them, and did work very well for cleaning contacts. If you wanna check if the eraser you have would work, try using it to clean a spot on a non-shiny copper coin (old penny). I think Radio Shack sells 'DeoxIT', which is what I use for for cleaning switch contacts in my old ham radios. A bit expensive though.

Wire-wrap tool: for wrapping 30 gauge copper wire tightly around a square 0.025 inch (0.63mm) size post. Sharp corners on post gave good electrical connection. 1 inch of wire would give a coil approx 1/8 - 3/16 inch (3-4mm) long. Would be quick way to wind very narrow diameter coils, using a paperclip or pin as a post.

Need more reasons to visit your local Radio Shack?

I already used the pencil eraser several times. The carbon buildup wouldn't completely go away, and it kept coming back.

And yes, I need more reasons. :D

Adeline.. are you going the the mistymountain vape meet this evening? I haven't fully decided yet but I think I will. It's a 4 hour round trip drive and I hate that it's not till 4.. but I don't have anything else to do. I think I'll bribe my son to ride along with me LOL

LOL!

I am totally going. Got all my RBAs set up last night, got some juices mixed .. Today I make sure everything's in working order and get a couple care packages together for friends (wick materials and special juice requests.. since I mix everything in 1mg).

Let me know if you decide to go!

My avi is a pic of me, so I'm pretty easy to find.
