Do I need to bring anything special? Are they going to have flavors to try out? would I need to bring an atty to do this? I don't want to look/act like a dork LOL

I'd say for sure bring an extra drip tip (especially if your main drip tip is stainless steel.. they're picky). I like to try other folks' stuff, and most everyone has tanks.

There will be juice giveaways, dunno about taste tests though.

Bring an atty just in case. I'll have some spare 510s on me in case anyone needs one.

Bring anything interesting that you want to share. Please bring your Drunker so I'm not the only one. Apparently there will be folks asking about it (moreso than the last meet), and it'd be nice to share all the questions. ;)

I'm bringing my ProVari, eVic bod, and Reo ... and all 6 of my RBAs... lol
Along with some DIY juice.

Wish there were vape meets here in Michigan, there have been in Detroit but that's a 5 hour drive one way.

On the other hand the 36 awg kanthal is performing amazingly in my drunker. I think my theory of thinner wire has a better lower heat control is starting to show positive proof. The heat response is insanely quick, clouds the second the fire button is hit. Would you believe for 2ohms it's only 3/4inch of 36 awg, I'd never been able to use it without my welder.

I'll give my 36 another shot at some point. Thanks for experimenting! :)

Adeline and Donna, glad you all had a good time at the vape meet, but please report!! Anything new?? What was your best vape for the evening? Did your own stuff perform well or did anything let you down??? Just for us'uns out in the sticks, with no hope of attending a vape meet lol. :vapor:

Donna, I tried some caramel cappuccino from (can't remember) and it totally gunked up my 510 atty in no time. That was my first and last caramel cappuccino lol.

Well... I didn't really see anything new. I got to see Adeline's killer and kayfun clone. I got to meet the guy who makes the juice for mistymountainvapors, he gave me some fruity samples. I took my provari's along with my zap, did and drunker. I also took my madvapes vv box and with a carto tank on it. My stuff performed well LOL.. I just had to caution people who tried them that the draw was very airy on both the zap and the did and that it took a bit of getting used to. (and to keep the wick down) I did learn that the Lavatube 2 is a gorgeous device! I got to try some boba's bounty and pluid tastes like medicine (the kind you hold your nose when you take it) but it sure is a pretty green color in a tank LOL. I guess I can see the appeal, it being hard to get and all.. but I won't be standing in line for any. Oh.. and I talked to a guy with 3 rings in his lower lip (he was nice :D)

Also something I was going to tell you... since I got the did, and rewicked my zap with a larger wick... I haven't had the "run back" I had with the mini did clone. I could only get the clone to work about half the time but the real standard size DID has performed flawlessly.

As far as caramel cappuccino... mine WON'T clog up an atty! Mine stays in a carto tank with the same carto for weeks before I change it out. I once tore apart a carto that had it in there for over a month and no gunk at all. I want you to PM me your home address and I'll send you some! Really.. give me your address! My caramel capp is the only thing I keep in a carto tank because it lasts so long while tasting so good. You didn't have caramel capp like I make! :vapor:

I enjoyed reading and thanks for posting. Also, thanks for the kind offer. You have mail. :vapor:

I'll probably won't be able to talk myself into springing for the real did, but I've read several good reports on it. I thank part of my problem with my dud is I sometimes go past vertical while vaping it. The juice runs down the hollow wick, then runs back into the tank when I turn it back up.

Meanwhile, the drunker is performing great. I finally replaced all the wicks as they had become a little discolored. It's soaking at the moment.

Getting to the end of the third tankful in my Peaches & Cream wicked Drunker. Cotton wick is working MUCH BETTER in this atty than it did when I gave it a go in my duds.

Really impressed with how little gunk has accumulated on the wick and coil. I've cleaned it out with hot water and PGA between tanks. If I don't start twitching trying to vape dry the last of the HHV juice in it now, I'm going to give it the ultimate gunk and wick test. Boba's Bounty on deck.

I don't have to actually tip anymore, as long as the wick is positioned downward, it wicks. much more convenient than trying to vape like I'm drinking a bottle of something. But I was really enjoying laying back in my recliner and vaping, now when I try to lay back and vape, I get too much wicking LOL. That may have been our problem now that I think about it. I'm not getting hardly any discoloration or "off" taste now that I don't tip it. The draw on the did is much more airy than I anticipated, pretty much as airy as the zap. But I'm used to them by now. I'm going to have to lower my nic because I can feel it a lot more with the mesh rbas. I can't vape near as much as I want to LOL

The draw on the drunker isn't quite as full and smooth but it's tighter. This last time I rebuilt it, I wrapped my coil and installed it first, then I threaded the cotton through it while installed in the drunker. When it needs replacing, I'm going to clip the ends and try to get the cotton out without disturbing the coil.. so I won't have to tear it apart and start from scratch.

I'm really loving the drunker. I bought Bruce from Clouds of Vapors last drunker at our Vape meet last Sunday, and had a couple friends buy them also. I also got his last 3 replaceable coils mainly for the ceramic cups. Lol. Well, I'm assuming they are his last, unless they were just the last of what he brought to the Vape meet. Not sure. I love how my juice is not cooking in these like it did in the Vivi's. they are nice.

Vaping my dud for the first time was my first nic buzz in years lol.

That should work well. I did that three or four times but this last time I replaced all the wicks because of discoloration. It's vaping like a freight train lol.

Been reading this thread for a bit and decided the Drunker might be a good tank to introduce me to RBA's. So ordered one up today along with a few of the premade wicks/coils. Figured with that and all the good info here I should be good.

After I figure it all out will need to study up more on making cotton wicks.

UPDATE: I have yet to rebuild the tank after my first build with the combination of hemp and bamboo wicks. The draw is light compared to just about everything I have ever used. The hemp off-flavor thing has gone away and the juice has really started coming through clean and crisp.

The drawing action of both bamboo and hemp are impressive, I chain vaped through A View to a KILL last night so whats 131 minutes according to IMDB. My eVic hit the temp warning toward the end of the movie but kept on vaping like a champ. I'll have to reset the warning level.

So running on my first build of the Drunker and well into my 4th tank of juice I have to say I'm really happy with it.

Thank you to all in this forum that convinced me to give it a try and provided me with your hard earned knowledge to get started with.

I was asked to take part in a rebuilding class tonight. One of our local vape shops has been holding meets and getting really involved. So we had a rebuilding tutorial tonight. One guy was there to coach genny styles. And there was me and Mike doing cottons. He rebuilt the VVN, and I the Drunker, but we gave folks some great advice and tips on cotton rebuilding.

It was a fun time had by all. I really enjoyed it. And I rebuilt my Drunker! Cheesecloth ... for the first time in far too long! ;)

It was really nice to meet someone in person with the same expertise in cotton. I was pretty happy.

AND I got a free RBA ... one that I don't have!

I really like this group and this vape shop (Misty Mountain Vapers) .. Donnah, the same group whose vape meet we went to. :) They have their stuff together, they have fantastic prices, and they KNOW what they're talking about. Couldn't ask for anything better in a B&M.

I just wish they weren't 2 hours away from me! I got a sample of chocolate covered strawberry from the guy who makes their juice and its excellent. What rba did you get?

Yeah .. he mixes for some really big juice vendor I thought. I can't remember.

They gave me the AGA-S ... made to be used with silica/cotton but can be used with mesh?

Something like that. I honestly have no idea what to do with it, but give me a half an hour with it and I'll get it going. Sweet looking tank, the top does NOT thread, so lining up the air hole will be a breeze. Happy! :D

Except now I have 7 RBAs and only 6 devices... And I had JUST got enough devices for my rebuildables. Dang!
