OK I am going to give it a try Thank you very much for your help
Folks (like me) that don't do that always claim that silica has a break in time lol.
Hmm the Silica looks white already but I am gonna try this a bit. Along with a bit of washing maybe before.
Just for fun, my Drunker and eVic finally made it to the office. Some how being at work just got better.
Now that the office is fully stocked, I can get back to work.
Once u torch it its gonna be more than white![]()
Now to figure out how you torch it. Off to Youtube!
no need for youtube just get a long neck pliers and on to the stove(if u dont have a torch) and watch it glow red![]()
Donna H, your peanut butter is scrumpdelicious in the drunker. For me the inhale is tasty but not immediately identifiable but the exhale and after taste...oh.my.goodness.
It's great in the 804 and dripped on my spin-E, but somehow it's best in the drunker. I have a 1.7 ohm coil, set at 3.6 volts on the yj which means 7.6 watts. That's a little higher than I normally vape and I'm also vaping direct from the drunker without a drip tip. I'm getting plumes of warm peanut butter goodness lol.
If the recipe is over in the diy section, do you have any links? (also your coffee capp. It's really good also.)
I'm glad you like itI'll pm the recipes to you (I'm at work right now)
I am thinking I should try a cotton yarn wick soon. will try some mentioned in here. I've had a hard time with consistency in my wicks. It seems like the last couple I made from a cotton roll were maybe too thin and didn't wick good, plus the 34 gauge kanthal has been giving me too high ohms. I resorted to my Vivi nova this past week until I can find time to try again![]()
Imo, the drunker needs fairly thin wicks and small diameter coils to function best. Study the pictures Adeline posted and note the feed hole where you can see some space around the wick. All of my wick holes look like that. Small wicks prevent choking at the slots in the ceramic also.
I also suggest doubling your wire to get the ohms down. It's easy to do and works well.
To double your wire, cut about 10 in. and loop the ends together and hold them with tweezers or pliars. Use a nail, paper clip, or small allen wrench to twist the wire together. About 6 to 8 twists per inch should be enough twists.
I prefer wrapping on something small (1/16 in diameter) and feeding one wick through the coil and one wick on top but that's only because it makes wick replacement easier. Hand wrapping around both wicks with a needle or paper clip works just as well and often you can still get the old wick out without destroying the coil for wick replacement.
Which ever method you use, wrap your coil very close, even touching (it will not short) so that you can get several wraps in the ceramic. I'd suggest 6 wraps if hand wrapping and 8 if pre wrapping around something 1/16th in diameter.
I hope some of this helps.
Edit: I'm thinking about trying some of the peaches and cream also. It might be easier to work with. The secret to the cotton rounds is to twist them. The more they are twisted, the harder it is to pull them apart.
Thank you so much for your help. I'm not sure I understand twisting the wires together though. So you are saying I can intertwine 2 wires to together and then wrap that many loops around a wick and it won't short and it lowers the ohms? If I sound dumb asking, sorry. I will study her pics again about the wicks also.
