Lol. Oh Lord, Adeline, I about spewed coffee on my keyboard when I read that.

Ok, Miss I'm Not The Most Dainty Girl, here's a method that might work for you.

The ceramic is press fitted and glued to the shaft so they are hard to get off. The ceramic is easy to break above the slots so avoid any pressure at all above where the slots start. However, they'll take a lot of pressure from the bottom. Roll up part of paper towel, loop it over the shaft under the ceramic. Grip it tightly and try to pull the shaft out. Once the bottom edge bites into the paper towel from the force, try to twist the shaft to break the glue. Make sure you are gripping the edge of the bottom of the ceramic, if you allow your finger and thumb to ride up too much above where the slots start, you'll probably break it. It should come off, but if it doesn't go to plan b.

Plan b. Put it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours, then try plan a again. Hopefully the metal will contract enough you can finally twist it off.

Good luck. :vapor:

Edit: Don't throw away your chipped ceramic if it's just a chip off the side. If push comes to shove you might still be able to use it.

I will try this later.

My initial thoughts were .. 1) buy a vice grip and use pliers to rip the casing off. And if that failed, 2) Use a hammer.

Yeah the first ceramic cup might only be chipped, but I'll have to remove it to find out...

And I didn't realize madvapes was carrying the ceramic cup as well. Also good to know. :D

Lol. I think I'll edit my post and add the the hammer part. Now that we know we can get replacement ceramics that fit properly, we can afford to vent a little if it comes to that.

Yeah I got both ceramic cups off the ce2's JD sent me. I chipped one but got the other off intact, yes ceramic is nice because it doesn't conduct electricity but the metal cups in a nova are so much toucher (I've taken rotary tools to them). The trick is to not lose or break the parts I already have lol. Either way though I can replace the cup with a ce2 head or a nova head, or no cup at all.

When taking apart the ce2's you have to clip the wires then pull out the wick then striaghten the coil and clip. The red wires seem glued into the cup so I'd have to run the legs through the air hole which doesn't seem like a big deal.

I just clicked "BUY" for 6 replacement heads as well as a 2nd Drunker at MV, as this atty has proven itself to be reliable, easy to refill and essentially leak-proof over the last few days. I actually like it better than my Cobra, and it's become my "go-to" vape while I continue to fiddle with the Genesis conundrum...

Mack that reminds me that I totally forgot the wires. I'll edit my post. I had more trouble getting the wires out than getting the ceramic off on the one I took apart.

HERETIC!!!

Just teasin', Ansah. As the saying goes on the forum here, 'the best is what ever keeps you off the ciggies'. If I had to keep just one device, I'd probably choose the drunker.

The thing is, the Drunker is vaping better for me right now than the Cobra. I have to believe I can master the SS mesh and wick stuff and get the Cobra to vape really well, and the Cobra will last through Vapageddon and all of that. The Drunker (like all of the tank systems/attys at this price point) doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold up for the long haul, so I want to buy a case of them or something rather than scrounge around the net for compatible replacement parts... The Genesis is at the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm getting inconsistent and too tight of a draw, and can't tell whether I'm coiling/wicking wrong or if this is just how Genny RBAs work. But it will last longer than I do if I don't lose it, so I want to learn to get it right. With the Drunker, I'm already there...

Have you done the co-op thing here before? I have not, and don't really know the mechanics of getting everyone involved organized, but I'm up for it if we can make it happen.

I haven't. And I don't have the time, energy, or desire to manage one. Too much going on with work and not enough time in my normal life to put that kind of focus on it, unfortunately. I'd participate, gladly, however!

I'm essentially in the same boat as far as free time and responsibilities. I'm self-employed and life comes at me faster than I have time to deal with already... (Even geeking out on all of this vape stuff! It's getting to be too much, and I'm going to have to stop hanging around forums so often...) But if someone will step forward to run it I'm in too.

Found cotton rounds (and ovals!) at CVS today.. had to stop by on my way home.
I DID resist the urge, since I have 8 packages of rounds showing up on Saturday. They were $4 for the rounds and $5 for the ovals. No thanks!!

I might try that setup that Mack showed a couple pages back (with the feed assists). I think it's a great idea, we should be able to make smaller coils.. and avoid choking the coil.

Drunker is performing well on my new gadget -- the eVic. Looks pretty good on it too.

Waiting on a lot of new toys to show up -- a lot of it should get here Saturday. The stuff that probably won't has nothing to do with my Drunker, so I'll likely be playing around with this little tank. :)

Edit: my rounds, yarn, and NR wire should be here tomorrow! I love it when shipping estimates are wrong in your favor!!

Ya know, I think you can get those rounds in the dollar store. Something like 100 for a buck.

I couldn't tell you where the nearest dollar store is, to be honest. I can't name one in the county! I ordered from Amazon over the weekend and decided to wait it out -- I needed a couple other things and just made a single order of it. I can be patient... sometimes. :)
