Has anyone with links to the imitator sent the info to Alice? I did a quick google search and kept coming up with the real thing, even when I put quotes in. I think AiV needs to know, have proof and decide what action, if any, could or should be taken.
Yes, Alice in Vapeland is aware of the imitator and posted on the AiV forum here on ECF.
My dad owned a family business of several stores called "The Scandinavian", est. 1960. The original and main store was located on 5th Avenue in Scottsdale, Az., a high end shopping area that not only was a draw for tourists but thrived very well with the support of the locals. The business had been around for over 20 years. The customer service, and the selection of merchandise, plus the "experience" made the stores well known and thought of. My dad did everything a viable business does, member of the BBB, "5th Avenue Merchants Assoc.", Chamber of Commerce, corp status, licensing, advertising in select magazines and periodicals, etc., etc.
A distributor who sold to my dad thought they would lease a store front on that same avenue and open a store called "The Scandinavian Shop"...........they duplicated many of the same things my dad did, down to putting Scandinavian flags and director's chairs for weary husbands or smokers in the front of their store front.
The impostors were served a "Cease and Desist" order. They re-opened as "The European".
My dad wasn't worried about competition, he was protecting his good name and that of his business.
That's what it's about. A company's good name and their products.
Alice in Vapeland got past the 6 month "Thrive or Die" common to small business. They made a move to a larger facility, not just down the block, but across half the country, from Washington DC, to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Whoever runs their graphics and ad department is a genius, receiving a package from AiV is an "experience". Whether you love the juice or not, I don't think anyone out there can say that a box from AiV isn't something out of the ordinary. Their customer service is fantastic and their web site is very comprehensive.
Yes, I really love AiV. I don't work for them but my ADV's are all AiV. AiV set the bar for their niche in the vaping community, and they've worked hard getting there. They have an established customer base. They've carefully selected the B & M's they sell to and 1 other online vendor. I'd be just as supportive to a vape company facing the same situation, that I didn't purchase from, that had the support of many ECF members.
*opinion over* Just really pathetic that some poser company in El Paso can't stand on their own without stooping to cash in on another company's good name.
