Intellicig EVOlution One Month On

I've got a question for others with the Evo (or the M401). Has anyone accidentally damaged the atomiser when changing the cartridge? I've found the mouthpiece can be on quite tightly, and I've managed to clip the wire bridge a couple of times now when it suddenly comes free.

I had some menthol carts that were a bit tight so I spoke to John as I was worried about damaging anything. He told me that a few of one batch were tight and sent me some extra ones. One way around it is to use a standard biro to stretch the mouth of the cart a little, works a treat!

I've mainly got the menthol ones - might be it. I'll try that to loosen them up a bit.

I knocked it a bit out of shape but it seems to work fine still.

I use the menthol carts too (I think they're lovely) and John mentioned about the tightness in my last order. I got some free ones too to make up for it.
I have noticed a couple of them have been too tight.

I got my Evo on new years eve and have been using it pretty much constantly since then- my penstyle was my favourite before but these are great! Especially for such a small form e-cig. The menthol carts are yummy. I got extra ones too with the note that some may be slightly too tight. Roll on the black version and I'll be back for some more.

I'm getting a lot of too tight carts from Janty lately. But you can get around this quite easily without widening your atomizer (if you do that, the next ordinary carts you put in might be too loose...)
Just save up some carts that fit nicely (pull the filling out,just keep them empty). Now next time you get a cart that doesn't fit, get out one of those saved nicely fitting carts. Grab tweezers, take out the filling and put it into the 'nicely fitting cart'. Push it down a tiny bit too far into the new cart at first.

Now take the cart you just emptied, and tap it at an angle on top of your just-made-cart - this way you get all the liquid into the new cart, also what was left behind when you transfered the filling.
When done, let it soak in for a bit, then gently pull the filling up again until it's filling th e cart right up to the brim.

(When transfering, it's best to put the filling into the new cart with the tweezers low on the filling, so you can push it into the bottom part of the cart... the cart is a bit more narrow there, so the filling has to be squeezed together a bit to actually plop into place in that bottom part)

I have a similar issue to the cutoff thing described above, what happens is the following:

I take a drag on the evo for two seconds, and remove it from my mouth
evo is still whistling and LED is still lit after I take it out, finally stops three seconds later
evo is now useless for two minutes

It's annoying because it's an excellent device. This especially happens outside, by the way. I think it's just a dodgy pressure switch. I will be receiving another battery in a couple of days, I will see if that's different (if it is, I will regard the current one as defective) I am not using liquid with the evo, just supplied carts.

Katink, I think you're describing a different type of ecig than the EVO.
Just to clarify, I widened the replacement plastic cartridge by pushing a biro into the open end, just enough so that it slipped onto the atomiser comfortably. The EVO carts are also the mouthpiece and fit over the atomiser, not inside it. I tend to top up with liquid now but if I do use a new cart and it's tight I just use a sewing needle to push out the inner cart and swap it over without the mess of taking the filler out and keeping all of the liquid.

Hi, yes I do read some posts but not all as I don't have the time. Also, I can't reply to any posts in the Reviews or New Members areas. You might wish to post this for the members: The 2 main causes of irregular cutting out are flooded vaporisers and poor connections between vaporiser and battery. Even a smear of liquid can affect the integrity of the connection. The other causes are located thousands of miles away but fortunately are now fewer and fewer. If you clean everything up and make sure your connections are good it should sizzle like a Dalek with piles; if it doesn't let me know on john@intellicig.com and I will sort it.

Can use the ones you described. Yuck. I need to order soon too. Sent Njoy a complaint email and I only have till the 11th to have one to take it's place, or two. Can't have too many batteries to take along with you as well as spare parts if needed.

Waiting for sweet nothin's.lol BTW: I know the short hair is in. Has been too long. I like you're long hair pic better. Did that earn me any extra brownie points? PM me asap about the same strength/flavor carts. I got to get that order in soon. And to think I bought one for my sis, Njoy that is. So I'll be buying one for her too. Now that's going to be much fun having to wait 4 flippen hours to smoke off a battery that works only 3-4 hours if I'm lucky. I will not smoke those bloody cancer sticks for a couple days. I'm going upstream and downstream without a paddle, but I'll get there one way or the other.

1. i am NOT angry at you in the slightest! and i apologise if thats the impression that i gave you. i was trying to emphasise to EVERYONE that im happy to answer questions about the EVO but as long as EVERYONE realises that i dont work for them.

ive had over a 100 emails from people asking about their order, where can they buy one from me, what cart strength, shipping costs etc etc etc. and seeing as im just a regular guy who earns no money for all the time ive spent answering questions, emails etc it can be a little frustrating!

if someone asked me "how long does the battery last, or is it good on vapour" then im happy to answer. but if someone asks "i ordered my evo on monday, when will i get it, or can i have 10 menthol carts and 10 tobacco carts instead of just 20 tobacco" then i dont know what im expeted to tell them! lol

PLEASE! I really need everyones/someones help buying a new e-cig. But no cigars or pipes. I did like the pen style but I'll consider about anything with a good known reputation.

I am running on only one battery, (be nice now), that last 3 hours if I'm lucky. Then I have to wait till it charges again to vape. It's soon to poo poo out too and I've only had the bloody thing for a three weeks now. I do not want to get another from NJOY, any scouts around?, because I don't do the "three times is a charm thing."

From your experience, happiness with, etc., would you suggest who, what, where. Does such an animal exist? I'm in a dilemma. I don't know anything about them

ANY good advise you could give me would be so appreciated. I am out the ying yang on money with all this stuff, so I can't afford one that costs $300.00!!!

Nadia, seriously NOW, you and I should have these things made so they last forever. At a pretty penny, but at least 3? years.
