If your battery only lasts for an hour it is faulty, ask for a replacement.

john at intellicig is currently setting up a US distributer. the difference is that the EVO is not made in china like all the others. its made and assembled in the UK and electrical parts of the atomiser and battery have been re designed. at the moment, john at intellicig.com is the ONLY supplier of the EVO because it is his own product.

the other e cigs by different suppliers may look the same but how many of them have a whopping 8 - 12 hours battery life?

i think the US site will be up and running in a week or 2 so maybe it might be worth checking it out then.

Cool. Can you knock on my door and leave me a note if I'm not home? I am curious. I bought a pen style for my sis and I think she wants one that looks more like a real cig.

Not to sound disrespectful, my battery last about the same. Of course it depends on how much you puff. Anywho, I can't loose by trying it out. One thing I have noticed. Once it starts getting sold in the US, the price goes up. But that's not your worry. As you would say, "Thanks mate."

PeteMcArthur: If you didn't get the charger, how can you say it thinks it's charged after one hour? I am curious. It sounds contradictory.

i think you need to read his post again mate. pete never said that he didnt have a charger.......he simply asked the other guy if HE purchased the try me pack which does not come with a charger.

he also did not say anything about being charged after one hour. the OTHER guy said that he was only getting 1 hour battery life and that the charger light turns green after 20 minutes.

hope you dont mind me answering on your behalf pete!

So sorry. I just saw that and was going to apologize. The way all these postings are set up, I get confused as to who is saying what. I am stilll learning all this.

PeteMcArthur, I sincerely apologize. It was for the other chap. I'll get this all down sooner or later. Sorry.

lol, yeah MATE whats your address?!

what you have to bare in mind is that this is a super mini e cig and the battery is no thicker than a normal cigarette. a pen style battery is way bigger than on the evo. if the evo battery was the same size as a pen style then you might get 24 hours battery life:D

maybe john can send you one out if it is cheaper for you. im pretty certain that on another thread he mentioned that he now has US chargers for them. send him a email, you might be lucky!

What I meant by knocking on my door was clicking on my avatar to let me know. I can give you contact info if yours allows it. As for John, you put his email here so I will email him. Not sure what you meant about sending me out one. The starter kit?

lol, sorry i thought you was joking about knocking on your day so i was just joking back! what i meant about him sending you one out was that if you contacted him to say you was interested in purchasing an EVO package but made him aware that you live in the US then he would be able to tell you if he was prepared to ship overseas and the cost etc.

No problems, the threading on the board catches me out all the time:)

I think i'm going to go for the 24-99 one with the extra battery and usb charger, I might as well grab an extra atomiser to be on the safe side too. Just one thig, how do you tell when the battery is charged using the usb? Just leave it on for a few hours or is there an indicator?
I recently bought a EC303 from ecigonline.co.uk, although the first few puffs weren't bad, I have to say I'm not very impressed now, having to block holes to get any decent vapour, still not a lot though.
This sounds like it might be the one i'm looking for, have to wait till the new year now, what with the post lol.

The battery tip lights up solid when fully charged. And it charges very quickly on the USB. I'm going to have to stop praising this thing, people must think I'm on commission, which I'm not:(

there is no light on the usb so it doesnt actually tell you when it is charged. but i just leave mine plugged in for about 2 - 3 hours and that gives me about 8 - 12 hours vaping. another guy on another post has said that the usb charger charges really quick so you might be able to charge it for less time than what i do!

vapour on it is very good indeed, plus it is very consistant. mine produces great vapour right up to the point when the battery runs out. it then just flashes and says "time to charge me!".

unlike the evo, my other e cigs gradually produce less and less vapour as the battery drains. the atomiser is a little noisy to start off with but that will clear after a day or 2 of use. mine is super quiet now!

always worth getting spare parts.......epecially if you are a clumsy **** like me who keeps dropping the atomiser!

go for it, im sure you will love it

Don't understand this, the LED on the battery should come on solid when charged. I've got 2 USB chargers and four batteries and all combinations seem to work. Perhaps you should have a word with John, faulty USB charger perhaps?

Don't know what happens with a mains charger as I don't have one

Our posts are crossing!! It is frightening quick. I normally use it from a NiMH battery pack to charge up, you may have seen some pics of it in the suppliers thread. If the NiMH pack is fully charged the tip turns blue after about 45 minutes. The first time this happened I didn't believe so being the sad person I am I started measuring the current flow into the battery, starts off at about 140ma and tails down to about 80ma when the charge is finished. Without doing proper logging I can't be absolutely sure how much charge is total is going into the battery but probably about 100mAh. This is completely inconsistent with how long the thing runs, I did mention this to John and he came over all Scotty and said "Ye cannae change the laws of Physics" but we can bend them.

Right I've probably bored the .... off of everyone so I'll go away:)

PS

I also have a Litecig M401 and I really think the EVO outperforms that, now they appear to be the same but with different programming in the chip. Whatever it is, it works.

to be honest, i mainly use a main charger i have for another e cig i own which is a m401. it seems to charge it fine but the end tip does not light up when fully charged this way. however, it does light up when using the usb charger.

i think i will stick to the usb charger from now on just in case it does any damage!

mine lights up solid orange though.......not blue! i take it you got the blue led pack!

Yes I got the blue ones. I don't think you will do any damage using another M401 charger, I have used the LiteCig charger, it turns green but the battery tip does not light. I think what happens there is the mains charger is probably set to cut off when the volts rise to 4.2, it is the charger that makes the decision. In the USB charger the cutoff voltage is 4.7 (Yes I measured it) and it is the battery chip that makes the decision to stop charging. What I would be more worried about is try to charge a M401 generic in an EVO USB charger. I could of course be completely wrong:):)
