So there I was walking to the other side of town because the Tim Horton's rally was taking place in london and we all had to meet up at store #301. As I'm going around this bend (horrible street design in this town) two vehicles drive past me. The big black SUV cuts off this little dodge neon and sends the neon slamming head on into the side of a CIBC bank barely missing me as I'm walking. Meanwhile the driver of the SUV doesn't even stop or slow down as he/she proceeds to drive through the bank parking lot and speeds off into the distance like an escaped criminal.

So I rush over to the dodge and I find this young girl in total shock and I'm the first on the scene. So I proceed to check the situation and see if she is okay, check her car to see if any fluid was leaking out, which it was. So I ask her to open her door and notice that she cannot get it farther than 4 inches, due to her front end being totally mangled by the marble on the bank wall. Some unheard superpowers come over me and I open the door like its nothing, even if its wedged closed by the twisted steel. We exchange information and I make sure she calls 911 and such.

I was trying to get to the meet up location and the bus wasn't going to wait for anyone. So I get there and go about the whole experience.

We get back to store #301 and who do I see behind the counter? The same girl from the accident. I'm just glad that she is okay. :)

Wow that was quite the experience! And about being able to open her mangled door? - people have the ability to do incredible things when they need to. I've read about circumstances like that before. You were her superhero that day :)

Glad to hear you and the driver were ok. Its funny how things work eh, with you seeing her again after you get to the store.

Ten years ago I was walking by a little corner store when a parked car suddenly started and drove right into the store. Literally 5 feet in front of me. Turns out some dude in the Chinese restaurant next door started his car with a remote starter but it was left in gear. I didn’t even know that was possible. I was quite confused to see a car with no driver trying to assassinate me. I should mention that store clerk was in the doorway at the time and literally had to dive out of the way. Hehe, he was probably more shook up than me.
