First: I didn't really know where to post this (which catagory). So I chose here.

I was browsing this am and came across this:

THE BACTERICIDAL ACTION OF PROPYLENE GLYCOL VAPOR ON MICROORGANISMS SUSPENDED IN AIR. I

I feel pretty confident that this may explain why I have had zero respiratory and/or cold problems since I started vaping. I used to have some kind of difficulty in this area about every 3-4 weeks. I'm sure 37+ years of smoking didn't help either, lol.

The most interesting thing to me about this, the release date of the abstract - 06/1942. PG vapor has been known to have this property for 70 years. AMAZING!!

Just thought ya'll might like.

That's very cool. I did the math. "Pronounced effects on both pneumococci and hemolytic streptococci were observed when concentrations as low as 1 gm. of glycol to fifty million cc. of air were employed."

50MM CC's of air is equal to almost 1,800 cubic feet, or a room 8' high x 10' x 22'. 1 gm of PG is basically 1ml, so if you're vaping 50/50, you're cleaning a room 8'x10'x10' every ml or so. I think my office and car are pretty darn safe.
