Hi, all:
As the subject line says, my VVG is functioning intermittently. Sometimes I get a hit, sometimes I don't. Mostly, I don't.
I have tried 3 sets of batts and 3 different atties.
I was using an ERA rba (w/o-ring) when the problem began. The problem seemed to go away when I shifted to a Cisco 2.5 bridgeless atty, but the atty only lasted 3 days. Put on another of the same atty. Lasted 3 days. Put on a 2.5 purchased from Rob. Got two hits and then nothing.
I've tried varying the wattage on each atty to little effect.
Does this sound like a problem that requires my VVG to be sent back to Rob, or is there something I can do to troubleshoot at home? I have a multi-meter but don't really know how to use it.
Thanks!

So far I haven't had the firing issue with my small button VVGs, knock on wood, but I haven't been using the Purple Sparkle as much as the other two and I usually have a 3.7 REO going at same time so maybe mine haven't had as many use hours as a lot of the others. (I like to keep my VVs away from sinks, pool, and spa as we have the "swimming REO" curse here.
3.7 REOs go with me for most kitchen, bathroom, and outside work.) I might add that if I ever have to replace the tiny buttons on VVGs I'm going to really miss them.
