3ml of worth of vaping is impressive and if it dissipated heat well enough I'm seriously considering ordering one if possible. I haven't heard about performance issues with switching regulators but ill need to look in to that. Oh and I'm 99% sure that the provari uses a boosting regulator which I think is a type of switching regulator, it needs to boost the voltage in order to do vv with only one batt.

Yah, 6ml a day, DIY so cost is a non issue. For the last week or so I've been using a cisco 306 (exactly 2.1 ohms) and there is absolutely no noticable heat coming off the regulator. The atty definately gets warm, but all 306s can get damn hot when you crank them up and thats the reason for the big thick cannon tip. Even with the 1.5s, I don't think the regulator would get hot enough to melt the casing for the army tank or be bothersome. I've never been a great fan of 1.5s anyways, as the lower the ohm they shorter the life: this is across the board for for every manufacturer. I would use 3-3.5 ohms at 5-6 volts for super long atty life, but you have to swap batteries more. There is a trade off to be made. I need a small VV mod, and I don't mind swappin batteries 2x a day, but with the 3.5 ohm 510s I have @6v I was going through about 2 sets of bats every 3 ml. Almost double the battery usage for some reason.

Thats the beauty of VV, customizable to you selection of attys and available batteries. Crank it up or crank it down. Atty new or atty old. Thin or thick juice. Add VV to a bottomfeeder (where you can effectively control juice flow as well), and no other type of PV on the market can compare.

All just spectators now.

Why would they all just sit there as if I'm going to put my Army Tank down and pic them up, almost sad in a way. A sentimental journey through a year of vaping now.

Its been over a year now, and I used to smoke close to 3 packs a day. $100 a week on cigs. Now imagine completely quiting in 2 days, and then starting DIY in about a month in. What I spend on mods is what most people spend on just juice alone 8) Even with all the mods, I'm still coming out ahead as I alot $200 a month for mods and attys and cartos. Granted I break these rules sometimes, but I do what it takes to stay away from the cigs. Not my wife, nor kids, nor anyone cares how much I spend since I don't smoke anymore !!!! Every atty and carto I that even advertises something new, I buy it. Every mod that has some feature or some design I havn't tried: I snatch it up. There is even a huge collection of tanks and cartridge mods layin around, haha.

I may take up the entire office, but there is not a single ash in this house, or car, or my toolbox at work. My toolbox always had an ashtray full of buts, I had to blow out my comp case at least 1 time a month to get ashes out of it. I killed a keyboard at least 1 time a month.

People complain about the cost of mods, but they never once worried about the cost of a pack of cigs. I used to support marlboro .......

Now I support great mod makers that are setting the world free of cigs. I support the DIY suppliers as well because they are setting people free of the high prices for basment made juice 8)

still being figured out, i have a cast being made of just a prototype this week. but ultimately need to do a cad rendering and eliminate all lines that i dont want and work in a nice logo etching. prolly gonna take me a month or two at least. im thinking the logo will look something like this:

i love the way the plastic version works and can't wait to get the metal one going. should be a really nice upgrade, but the cost will definitely reflect that.

this thing looks dope!! never tried vv before but i love the bottom-feeding action. vv seems to be the best way of having ultimate control over the vaping experience...dialing in exactly what volt is needed. hmm...i think a PM is coming your way my friend.

VV does give you controll, but remember there are a lot of mods out there with amp cutoff built in. That means dual and triple coil cartos will get cut off waaay before they max out. Not a problem with the VV army tank !

Just so I can budjet it right. Can you give a ball park figure on how much more it will be. Like 20 or 30 more? Will it be using the same batteries? Sorry just really interested. Don't share any info you are not comfortable giving.

hard to say what the price point will be, seems like im sinking more money in this than i initially anticipated. i've been talking to a bunch of casters, cad designers, considering various metals. really trying to find the best price for everything and not sacrifice design/quality. i really wanna keep the price as fair as possible without taking too much of hit. it will definitely use the same battery set up, juice system, and be a very similar design. trying to keep it as small as possible with the benefit of having the dual 14500 setup for full day of vaping.
