PM'd J and mine is being built!! Can't wait!! From all the great things said thus far and Stownz having a plethora of pv's I think I'm going to love this bad boy. Don't even have the current version and can't wait for the metal one! :D

Did you have him add the lanyard mount? Even if you don't use a lanyard on a regular basis, its nice to have the option.

I have mine hangin around my neck all day at work. When I don't want it swinging, I just put it in my shirt pocket, but if it falls out when I bend over, the lanyard cartches it 8)

hey Aaron, i use a switch thats rated 0.5 amps at 125VAC. I'm pretty sure it can handle 3 coil, i think stownz has tried it with success and im guessing it'll be just fine for 4 coil as well. not 100% sure tho since they don't current exist and haven't been tested. I'm sure our good man Stownz will be the first.

Just wondering, is the switch known for performing above spec? I'm just curious as I've been looking at this thing because it looks awesome.. just wondering about that switch, you say it's only rated for 0.5A? 500mA? You draw way way way more current than that with an e-cig, even more so with a dual coil/triple coil (running a 1.4ohm triple coil at just 4.5v is a staggering 3.2A of current draw, 6x what that switch is rated for)

i've been using this switch in my mods for a good long time now and have had no problems at all, never blown a switch. that doesnt mean you're wrong at all.

i could be way way off, but .5amps at 125vac, which using totally simple math, id guess at 7v's it could handle 8.5 amps?! then again, i have no idea what im talking about except that i've never heard of these switches blowing out from anyone.

anyone else have any idea?

Someone with more knowledge than I would have to chime in on that one, I'm not sure how these 'ratings' are actually established. I don't know if it works exactly like that, though...

*edit: I found this thread, which was kind of informative... http://www.electro-tech-online.com/general-electronics-chat/33332-dc-switch-ratings.html

I've been eyeballing this thread for a couple of weeks now, very tempting to jump in. Just been happy with the clearos and the go-go, still there is room for improvement. I actually tried a small vv box mod but sent it back because it was just to hot for me. So you see my hesitation. But this is a very appealing concept.

Jmarkus,,,,,, I've been using those switches with a switching regulator for almost 8 months. Never had one go bad. I switched to using a horn switch and eliminated the bottle because like stownz I use dual coils now and I have no need to bottom feed. I also use the unsealed connector because the hit is soooo much nicer and you don't have to worry about leaking with the dc's like you do with atties. Great mod you got there !

thanks so much squirrel! totally appreciate the input and the kind words. just did up my first switching reg version today to see how it would go. so far its pretty awesome, no heat off the regulator and im hoping for better battery life. ill check back in when i've fully tested it. stownz pointed me in this direction, so big thanks to him for all his help.

Alright so I wanted to thank J for my first bottom feeder mod. Loving it right now and it does what it's supposed to and then some. Still learning the technique on how to fill the carto but so far not terrible..ahahh. I only have it set to 5.5v on a 3.0ohm Boge and hits hitting like a champ!! I'm scared to turn it up...haha. Vapor awesome flavor awesome!

Thanks again J! Awesome little mod man!!

hey algriff,

you should fill a fresh carto like you normally would till its full. once its filled, attach it to the mod and you should just squeeze the bottle every 3-5 hits while you suck softly on the cart. might not have to squeeze that often but you can always just take a look at the filler to see how wet/dry it is.

hope this helps.
