Question: I just got the mod last week. When you use a carto on a bottom feeder, are you getting full performance out of the carto? It would seem the juice feeding would only penetrate to the bottom part of the absorbent material, and the carto would never get fully wet. This is my first bottom feeder. I have some atty's but also like to use cartos sometimes.

Curious... On the plastic one - how do I clean juice out from where the two battery boxes meet? Always spilling juice with this and it's in that spot. Then it runs out the bottom and onto everything I put it on lol... and after a wipe down, whatever is left between the two boxes eventually leaks out the bottom after it finishes playing with gravity.

i like to get in there with qtips and paper towels when i overfeed. fold up some paper towel corners, shove a qtip as deep as i can go, or i've even used compressed air which works really well get it out, dry it up.

the trick to carto feeding, and i guess with atty too is you have to suck while squeezing. 1 second squeeze during a quick inhale without the fire button and the juice comes right up to the top no problems.

This is a learned trait by the way - so don't get discouraged when you get juice in your mouth.

From my experience I'm getting much more life out of my cartos by bottom feeding them. I begin by filling from the top for a couple days, then I bottom feed for a few more. No, the carto doesn't stay fully wet, but you're using it like an atty.. wetting the atty that's inside the carto, down below the filling. But I don't (or haven't) usually use a carto on my army tank.. I like using the 901 too much.. I bottom feed my LR boge cartos (the resurrectors) with an Old Goat bottom feeder.

I've always got 2 pvs going.. the army tank with the 901atty and the OG with the 1.7 carto. The army tank gets used way more than the others though.

For those of you with leaking questions... the only time I get any leaks is when I overfill (MY fault, not the mod's). My army tank has not once leaking inside the box. 901's are tricky to bottom feed and I have to pay attention to the little hole in the side of it. I squeeze until I see a bit of juice peeping from the hole. Sometimes if I'm not paying attention it will leak down the side of the atty and into the catch cup. This is no problem on 510 or 306 attys, you can just suck the juice back up into the atty.. but I can't do this with the 901. It sounds like a lot of trouble to use a 901 but it's worth it because of the flavor and performance. I'm waiting on 901 drip shields to be back in stock at empiremods.com. (hoping this will solve this little problem)

Also with a 510 carto.. you can drip to change flavors.. just drip 2-3 drops down into the catchcup, suck it up in the carto and you get the flavor from what you just dripped. :)

Can you just Imagine how Horrible it would be if you Squonked while drawing on it with a carto LOL It would seem to me that it would act like a straw with the center tube :D That would be NASTY!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I drag it very lightly while I do it for that exact reason. I've gotten the straw effect when I started using them lol.

Yea but I am stocking up on 3.0ohm's and higher. I have enough lr and 2.0-2.8. I want HIGHER VOLTS!
Yea he really told me 4 weeks but I know it is worth the wait.

LOL, everybody has their preferences when it comes to which ohms like like. I personally like VV because you can go through a whole range of voltages with different cartos/atties. I also use it with dying atomizers that don't have the same punch as they used to.

Also, it is really worth the wait. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how well this mod vapes. It's the best bang for your buck mod in the industry IMO. Plus, it's not limited by 2 amp chips like others.

I would highly suggest investing in the dual coil atomizers from COV. They work well at any voltage but gets better at 5V+

That's actually how you have to feed a carto with a bottom feeder. Otherwise the juice will only stay at the bottom with no real way of spreading throughout the cartomizer.

Anyways, you might have to go through a slight learning curve when you enter the world of bottom fed devices. A blind squonk is a necessity.

Thinking about it, shouldn't there be different terminology for Army Tank users? Something military based. Like squonking can be called: Load or load and fire? Don't know...but I tried LOL

reporting in... dutifully. I mean who wouldn't want to be in this man's army? No draft required eh?
As far as carto's I'm a snob... it's been either drip ...or drip... up to now, with my other VV's.
Don't forget, not only does this PV have VV, but regulated VV, so that every toke is the same... the voltage will not drop on you as the batt charge dimishes! Like that is what I have been living for ever since "smart" PV's came on the market ( yr ago ), and now a bottom feeder to boot!
I refuse to vape anything other than a regulated VV PV. I'm spoiled for anything else.

Ok, carto's don't taste as good imo... as dripping (or bottom feeding), and bottom feeding has never been so good before "smart" VV bottom feeders like this came along.
But if you want the best a carto can do IMO, it's with a tank mod where the carto is wet all the time...haven't put one on the SgtArmyTank yet, because bottom feeding is where it's at with this baby (imo).

(btw, i get messed up writing the name of this thing; Sgt(ArmyTank)VII. How do you write it for short? SgtII? ArmyTank? SgtTank?... oh well.

Feeding it is a snap imo and it doesn't leak, I tell you, it doesn't...
You just have to figure what is the right amount of juice and how to do it with this guy... I read somewhere this was a tilt and feed? I don't need to do that myself, but getting a feel for how much juice comes up is key.
The 901 atty is helpful imo, because you can see a bit of juice peeking out the air hole when it's just right.
It's a small bottle, so I'll drip it a home mostly, and save the bottle for on the road.

At Ease Men! Vape 'em if you got 'em... geez
