Well lets treat this like a black friday shopping line. When I was at best buy a few years back to buy a new TV, once they opened the door that line we were all waiting in turned into a huge mob of people fighting each other for the front door. Lets just say I got the TV I wanted

jk :) I'm just happy the metal version is getting closer, this is going to be a very awesome PV.

hear that silence???

actually you can hear some faint whiffing sounds

that's the sound of a contented crew... vaping away.....

and way in the background; ..... "vape..... vape.... vape two three four" ?

yep.

Now that you mention it. I do hear that, should've known with the vapor fogging up the place.

Anyone else use a 901 atty wit SAT?
I know Donnah did...
I was using one, with an adapter of course, and i notice that it wobbles in the connector... which can make the connector dislodge from the housing. Be careful.

I've been using a 901 exclusively for about a month now. Mine doesn't wobble at all, fits nice and snug. With the adapter it's a bit tricky to bottom feed. Plus the 901 will leak out of the side hole if I'm not watching it when I squeeze. (and it always trickles out at the exact time I take my eyes off of it!) BUT.. it's worth it because of the performance and the flavor! I'm waiting on empiremods to get their drip shields back in stock.. they say that a drip shield will solve the leaking problem. But it's not so much the leaking, it's kinda difficult to feed too (I guess the adapter makes it hard to get juice fed up into the atty).. I don't always get enough juice in the atty to get a nice vape. If I were reading this (having never tried a 901) I definately would not buy one! But don't let this scare you.. even with the leaking and feeding quirks.. it's sooo worth it!

The only other problem I have using a 901 is that ultrafires and trustfires don't work. I take one vape and something trips the protection circuit (on either the mod or the batt) and it won't fire again unless I take one of the batts out and put it right back in (I guess that sort of resets it) and once I use that batt on the army tank, if I take that same batt and put it in a different mod (a plain 3.7 box mod) it still acts quirky until I recharge it, then it will run the 3.7 box mod like normal. With the 901 atty, I can only use the aw imr batts. With a 510 carto, I can use the ultrfires and trustfires just fine..it's only my 901 attys that give trouble with this mod.

But it's all good :) Since I've narrowed down the quirks. It's funny that I can use a 901 atty (with adapter) on my other 3.7 mods running ultrafires and trustfires but the army tank just doesn't seem to like this combination. so I just use what works :D

If I didn't love this 901 so much I'd just order 510s but I can get 10--901 attys (bulk atomizers) at vaporkings for $40 shipped (that's $4 per atty total!) and I love the way they make the flavor taste so pure. Plus they seem to last longer than the 510's without so much cleaning and dry burning.

I'm wondering.. if I order another.. can I get a 901 threaded connection rather than a 510? I know that with the Puck, he (the builder) says that he only uses 901 connections, that the (something or another) is different between the two atty connections and he didn't know if a 510 connection would work on it.

donnah,,, Keith's drip shield work nicely but what you need is what I;m using on mine,,, its a 510-901 adapter that Kaji use to sell the guy who made the VV Ali'i it has a metal tube in the center hole and this feeds the liquids right up to the 901 perfectly. You can make these pretty simple also. you just need a small piece of this ss tubing and your good to go, the combo of the drip shied with this special adapter is the ultimate ticket for using the 901 Atty with a feeder Mod

Do you have a picture of this adapter? I'm not very crafty when it comes to building this stuff. Does anyone sell them? I do have a 510 to 901 adapter that I got at madvapes but feeding this 901 is hit or miss. Thanks for the info! (I have no idea what ss tubing is!)

there is a ss needle tube coming right up the middle of the adapter. I have one, and an empire shield.
I don't use either on the SgtII, and i always watch the hole to see if juice peeks out... just as a tinu bubble of juice peeks out, i know it's full.
I use the vk dse 901's too and don't have any issues with the batts not firing... i use good batts though (AW's) (not knocking UF TF).
My favorite att right now is the i06 LR 1.8...

I have a hunch my wobble problem is the adapter may not be seated in tight enough...

what resistance are you using? right now I'm using 1.7's and they will not work at all with UF or TF--only the aw imr's. I went by madvapes the other day and bought a 2.5 901 to see if maybe the ohms were too low, it didn't work at first but now that I've cleaned it (soaked in denture cleaner and dry burned) it's working on the army tank with the trustfires. As long as the aw imr's work, I'm alright.

I watch the hole too but some always seems to leak out when I'm not looking :/ I've been kinda following the i06.. where do you get it?

I've used both LR (1.5 smartvapes dripping atty) and VK SR dse 901's 3.0 ohm....
I use IMR AW and P14500 AW's .... the sargent is of course not amp limited and can take LR easily ... so i don't get that about your batts, but i wouldn't know how to diagnose anything...

I find that some other 901's leak more than the DSE's... even the Ikens, but that was a while ago since i've been using DSE for almost a year now.
the key is to try to never overfill... if you do, vape it down as much as poss before re dripping/feeding... you get the best vape when there is not too much juice in the atty. just right... 3-4 drops. and then vape as much as poss. before re-doing.

I like dse 901's so much, and the fact that they are not as popular, Vapor Kings has them for less, 10pak for $37, I have a STASH.... then the rebuildables and tanks came out... but you can never have enough backups.
In the past, i've dumped (gave or sold) accessories as I found the latest "thing" but nothing is "all that" and when you go back to something that is "good", it's very cool to have good stuff stashed.
Again, right now I love the LR i06... and i guess Isaac is making the delrin i06 d/t longer! yes! it's taller than before and seems to do the trick of juice staying down.So when at home, i can drip the Sgt and bottom feed on the road.

Great tips ukeman! I'll be sure to remember that if I try out 901's. Been hearing about them a lot lately.
