think youe right. I changed to a reg 51o atty and the trustfies are now working fine.. thanks. must have been the atty.
my pleasure, glad that worked. i also noticed that if you spin the button you can find an easier push...but maybe im crazy. i know that button needs a deliberate push, but i think its better than a button that can fire easily in a pocket/purse. i have been looking for a better button but am having a seriously hard time finding one that fits in the design. anyone know of a nice small sized button with a decent amperage?
All the buttons I have seen that can carry the amps the army tank can push are all HUGE.

"Touch Switches"? The problem being would be pocket firing. We don't want a button you have to smash hard enough to dent your finger, but not light enough that it will fire in your pocket.

Yeah thats the problem is finding one small enough to do the job . Dont think there are any others. That is why the Chuck uses them too..
Just got home and been playing with mine for about 30 minutes now. Love it so far! The button is a bit tricky, I noticed that it does need a deliberate push but it is no problem. I love the volt meter, it doesn't take much of a turn to change voltage. And so far, no leaking! Yah!
I'm playing around and put an old 3 day used, carto on it that had got to the point (flavor wise) that I stopped using it. It seems to be working like new again! The first hit before squeezing juice into it gave me the usual 3-day-old-weak-flavor taste, then after feeding it a couple times, the new flavor taste is back! This is what I was hoping for, to be able to make my cartos last a bit longer!

Ive been using a small tactile switch on a VV for about two months now with no issues. Its only rated and half a amp but I ran dual coil at like six volts and no issues. And because the box with the switch is smaller then the other one accidental firing would happen less often. Just an idea.
I have read that doubling up,,,,,,, that is using all four posts on the tact switch will help. But I used one on one of my builds, using only two posts, and it only lasted only a a day. Mosfet is usually required to divert a heavy load from a tact switch.
oh man, i've been snooping around on this thread for a while now and VERY tempted to not even wait for the metal one and just opt for the plastic one. I've been shopping around for my very first mod and no matter what i've looked at, i keep thinking about the tank since it's a VV, small so i could stealth vape at work with it, and it's a BF which i've wanted to try. Still on the fence on waiting for metal or going plastic. Do you sell "kits" for the tank with batts and charger or is there a place that you can recommend for the batts and charger?
I love my plastic one.. it doesn't feel or look like plastic since it has a sanded finish. If you order one of these you'll want the volt meter so you can see what voltage it is set at, well worth the extra $.
Madvapes.com is a good place to pick up the ultrafire 14500 batts and a charger. If you want the aw imr batts, J recommended clouds of vapor. I'd like to ask him to chime in here about getting the "high drain" ones. Are these the ones you recommended to me J?
those (aw imr's) are the batteries i end up having in my tank most of the time and have had only great experiences. having said that, please do your research and only use safe/protected batteries. i feel like the aw imr's, since they aren't "protected," are something you should use at your own risk even tho they have "safe chemistry." here's a great starting point for research and it specifically talks about the aw imr's. please read the section "Current information is that AW IMR Li-Mn rechargeables are the safest batteries for use in mods".

The IMR's just don't quite last as long as the other types out there. I agree the performance is great, but there is a sacrifice in life. In an unregulatred mod, I use nothing but the red jacket AW IMR. In a Variable Volt mod like the army tank, I havn't noticed a need exept for maybe cranking up 1.5 ohm triple coil cartos over 5 volts. Those are some power hungry monsters.
I also worry about the IMRs not having internal protection due to possible over-draining them. Granted IMRs drop off SHARPLY when they get low, but it is still possible to over-drain them and damage the lifespan of the battery. I adress this concern by swapping the bats out when I feel the performance drop instead of waiting until they will just not produce any vapor.

I placed my order yesterday. I have been wanting a mod which was a bottom feed. Been wanting to get a Reo but they are hard to get a hold of, so started reading about these. It fits the bill for what I am looking for in my first mod, and Jmarkus replied fast to my PM. That is something I look for when dealing with someone be it a business or a individual, shows they are out to please you. That in itself sealed the deal for me. Now I just have to survive the wait. lol

Hey stownz I been loving my tank but have a recommendation. Don't use the grey ultra fires in it as they work but just don't last. I think they have a higher resistance as the hit seems cooler at the same voltage.( between the grey ultra fires n blue trust fires) I need to get some aw 14500 as they are the best u can get ( or so im told)
