Most likely charges faster because it's new and the contacts are cleaner than your older one. Could be wrong. Or I could just be JEALOUS.......

Do you have a rough idea of how much faster a full charge took with the new slim chargers as opposed to the older models? I keep reading that they charge faster, but haven't see anyone mention specifics.

Sorry Macks, but didn't time it last night. Was rather unexpected. I'll time them this week. We mostly use XL's Diamond batteries here.

That is an impressive charger and an extremely attractive one too. Plus the faster charge is truly amazing. I am impressed.

Since you're looking for new ideas, ahem, I'd like to see a new color of Shorty in.... Platinum. (and metallic turquoise). Okay, I'll shut up now.

Since these charge faster, has anyone tried a Kr8 threaded big bat like the iGo or Elegant. It seems the issue in the past with these batts on V4L chargers is how long it takes to charge. Perhaps the slim charger will close the gap for a all-in-one Kr8 charger. Furthermore, it would be awesome if these played nice with the regulated Kr8's like volt/bloog/G6. I have this charger, but none of these other batteries, perhaps someone with a larger hardware base can experiment for us?

I just picked up two of these during the 26% sale... can't wait to gift my old chargers to the hubby and UPGRAAAAAADE!
