I got my 900 mAh auto batt today along with my mint cartos (never tried mint before) and I'm loving both of them!! I'm getting great vapor from the big batt. I love the way it looks (I got silver with a silver cone).
I'm looking forward to the extended battery life, as well.

The mint cartos are delicious and refreshing. I wouldn't say there is an after taste, but there is a nice refreshing cool feeling left in my mouth...like I was just chewing gum. I like it.

As usual....I'm thrilled with my order. Thanks SI!

Good to hear Poppie! Still waiting for the mailman.. Mine should be in today but he's later than usual.. Feel like an idiot popping my head out every 15 min lol. As for the mint, I agree. I loved their mint and Ice Menthol flavors. Lots of great flavor. I actually have a custom peppermint from a local supplier here that's my all day vape and I love it.

I'm having the same issue with the automatic 1300. The light would not come on when plugged in when I first tried it out. I've run it dead and the light still doesn't come on and the pass-through doesn't work. :(

My replacement came in the mail today. :) And, it even lights up when I plug it in!

My 650 manual came in today and I am in love!!! I also am in love with the clearomizers, got to get more. :)

And..........I need to know how to clean them out. I just got two. Hubby took the other one and I put some really nasty tasting stuff in mine. :( Hey, I didn't know it was going to be nasty. Anyway, can someone please point me to where it shows how to clean one out? I be soooooo greatful. :)

Morri - For what it's worth, here's my personal method:

For clearo cleaning - I've found that complete disassembly may be just fine for a person without a disability, but not for me. My method is much simpler for me:

1. Remove the mouthpiece, dump the sludge, rinse with water (including a good shaking). Blow out water.
2. (Optional) I'm giving mine a quick bath in high proof vodka - including a good shaking.
3. Using needle nose pliers, I grasp the metal pip, and pull silicon and pip out through the opening.
4. Dry burn in 10 second bursts until I get the coil glowing red, I blow a puff in between bursts to reduce condensation. Achieve red glow two or three times.
5. With a twisted, flattened piece of paper towel, remove as much remaining condensation as possible. Or, you could just dry it in a sunny windowsill.
6. Replace silicon and pip. It was easiest for me to do this with the needle nosed pliers.
7. Refill, and wait a few minutes for saturation.

Many others take the whole darned thing apart, but I just don't have the strength or patience.

Well the mailman finally arrived today and got my X2 in. Love it! Great size (900mah) which was perfect for what I wanted, feared the 650 would be too small and the 1300 too large. This will be my new go-to pv for mobility. I have yet to fill my clearo yet though, going to wait for my next bottle of juice whenever I decide to order a new one. But looking forward too it! Congrats for everyone who got their X2 in after the long wait!!
My sisters order came in today as well, her new Volt kit and she's rocking it and loves it. I took some pics of her and the two of us so she can post them up here later.

Thanks Rave,
Your method seems a lot simpler to me. I also have disabilities. I got most of it and it wasn't all that nasty after all. Just not what I wanted for sure.

Now, I have another problem, not sure what to make of it. I put in a mix of just tobacco flavor and menthol and was in heaven for couple of hours. Then, started to get the burned taste, so I twirled it around like I have been shown. That helped at first but it kept doing it, so I topped it off. I finally took it off my voltx 650 and put on small battery and it works fine. That is just too weird. Are some juices just not good for clearo's?

Anyway, forgot to say A very Happy Morning to all of you lovely peoples. :)

I think you did just right, Optics. I was worried the 650 would be too large for me, as I have only had small batteries until now. It is just perfect and fits in the palm of my very small hand. It is much smaller than it looks and very cute!

Good morning, Morri.

Yes, there seem to be some liquids that don't like clearo's, and there is a list somewhere of those that can cause leaking or cracking, etc. And there are some carts that don't like the big batteries. Nonetheless, I prefer my carts on my big batteries, topping off with liquid when even the slightest burnt taste shows up. I think it's because the big batteries are that much more powerful. I was thinking about getting clearo's for all my main everyday flavors, then decided I didn't want to go that route and that I prefer my carts.

Someone else is going to have a much better explanation of all this stuff, though. Those are just my thoughts.

Hi Morrie. I'm not sure I understand. Was it a clearo or a carto got the burnt taste on your 650 and then was okay on the slim battery?

If it was a clearo I don't know what could have caused that. But if it was a carto it could be that after you topped it off it hadn't had enough time for the juice to work its way all through the filler before you switched it to the slim batt.

Let us know:

Was it a clearo or a carto
If a clearo, did you fill it to the 1.6ml line
What ratio of pg/vg was the juice
Do you know if the tobacco was an extracted tobacco

I haven't had a chance to post about this or get with cs yet. I got my clearos a week ago along with a 1300 x2 manual. I already had an auto. The draw on the manual is very airy compared to the x2 auto and my 78mm and 65mm regular bats. I believe I know why...

View attachment 92981

The battery on the right is my x2 auto, and on the left is the manual. The air holes on the manual are significantly larger than the ones on the x2 auto. The holes on the x2 auto and my regular size batteries are all the same size. (Quick aside... My god, I never knew how much lint a paper towel leaves behind. I can't see it with the naked eye, but the camera flash really picked it up.) In addition to the holes being larger, the threads seem to be significantly less defined on the carto connection, which may contribute to air intake as well. The threads on the cone portion of the manual x2 are not allowing the skirt on a clearomizer to seat fully . If you look at the right cone threads you'll see them sharp and straight, while the ones on the left are shallow and curve in toward the body on the top and bottom. Oh, that thing you see sticking up near the center post on the manual is a small piece of carto condom I cut to try to block some of the air flow to tighten the draw a bit.

I'll get with SI's customer service tomorrow, which is awesome btw and I'm sure it will be taken care of. Anyone who has an issue with a battery with a draw that seems too airy, check out the air holes and your carto connection threads. I'm interested to see if this may be the reason.

Now, about those clearomizers I'm about to go broke purchasing more of...well that's for another thread :w00t:

I just wanted to update this post. Soon after I made the original post I got with SI customer service on live chat. They sent me a replacement with an envelope to return the original with an order I was placing that day. They were out of black 1300 manuals so I got a silver instead. The one I received as a replacement was definitely manufactured better than the first. The carto connection threads were cut properly this time, so there was no wobble while screwing down either a clearo or a 901 atty. It is a much more solid connection. The cone threads were the same as my last manual, with that arcing in toward the top and bottom of the threads. This does increase the amount of air getting to the carto. Seeing as this is a manual and there is no air coming in through the battery, I'm wondering if this is by design. Since the clearos seat fully on this one, I'd have to say the reason they wouldn't fully seat on the replaced battery had more to do with the connection threads than the skirt threads.

The button was a big difference from the last one. The first one I had would activate if I looked at it funny. It was a real hair trigger. I lost track of how many times I activated it while screwing on a carto. I had assumed that was just how these buttons were. Having had an original xhaler with a small brass button, I appreciate an easy press button. The new one is by no means difficult to press, but it much harder to activate accidentally. It has a nice sharp "click" when activated. I have had a couple of instances of the led lighting up on the button without the atty firing, it seems to happen if I don't push down quite hard enough.

The air holes on the carto connection are larger than the auto, just like the one I had replaced. In fact, one of them is slightly oblong as if the drill bit wandered while cutting. Even with the larger holes, the draw on this one does seem to be less airy than the original. My guess would be the tightness of the carto threads compared to the last one is limiting how much air can pass regardless of the size of the intake holes.

Since I received the clearomizers I haven't used any regular cartos, so all the following observations are from that perspective. Comparing the new manual 1300 to my auto 1300 I can say that flavor is a bit more muted on the manual as opposed to the auto. This would seem to make sense, as a larger volume of plain air is being drawn in with the manual. The part that doesn't seem to make sense is I seem to get better wicking on the auto when using the clearos than with the manual. I can go for a much longer time chain vaping on the auto than I can on the manual. If I don't rest the manual more often I get a burnt juice taste. Funny enough, the juice that this happens most to is SI's RY4...which is also my thinnest juice. I'm trying to figure out what could be the cause.

It doesn't seem to be voltage related, as I tested both batts fresh off the charger and they both fell in the 4.2v range. My only guess is that the auto's tighter draw is resulting in lower pressure inside the draw tube and is causing juice to be sucked into the coil at a higher rate. That's just a guess. This may have more to do with the overall design of a stardust style clearo, so I'll speak to that in it's proper thread.

Thanks again to SI and the very helpful people in customer service. Great people to deal with who really stand behind the products they sell. :thumb:

SI's supplies keep selling out. This sucks! We can't always get the supplies that we want.
SI's supplies keep selling out. This is great! It means that the product is selling and SI can stay in business.
Is the glass half full or half empty? It's probably somebody else's glass. :)

Love the X2 batts! Having fits and starts with the clearos (I don't wanna hear it, Rave). LOL
Got a crack in one I've been using a couple weeks. I just patched it with superglue. I'm considering just putting a layer of glue on all of mine so I don't have to worry about cracks later.

I received my replacement 1300 X2 today. My original black 1300 auto stopped working after about 2 weeks (couldn't draw air - possibly a stuck auto switch?). CS agreed to replace it if I sent the defective one back. However, stock was out of the black 1300 auto's. I wanted to try a manual so luckily they had some in stock in black.

I think I prefer the manual, but I can't explain why. Just glad to get my bigger battery back for all day use. I already had 4 78mm standards for backup, but I wasn't efficient in recharging them as they drained and this reinforced my appreciation for a longer lasting battery.

And I also love the passthru feature.

I got my black 1300 XL manual in the mail today. (my prize :rickroll::headbang::banana:) I have to say that the black is really sharp looking and feels good too. Excellent product and fast shipping!

Yep. I miss my black one; very cool looking. Mine was DOA and was replaced with the white one as the black went OOS. Don't really mind the white...I guess. Just doesn't seem to mix well when I vape during car repairs (think greasy hands). On the other hand, at this rate it's going to be fully black again very soon.
