What's better than an ipv D2?...two of them of course. Got my silver version today. It included a case this time (in white) - although I have a transparent one in transit but probably won't use either one of them very often. The buttons seem slightly easier to press compared to my black one but it's nearly unnoticeable.

I'm not sure if it's been discussed but the firmware has been upgraded to V3 (SX130H V3.0), and from what I've noticed so far the ohms no longer show real-time fluctuations...it stays at the locked-in resistance. I've been using it for only a couple of hours and haven't noticed any other changes at this time...same great vape.

So here's some vape porn...sitting on top of my EHPro Lil Boy rda:

Typical P4Y -- buy a mod and a week later they have an updated version. Form here out, I am not going to buy another mod without a firmware update capability.

I know it's confusing, and it's for the best that the SX-130H not show the active resistance. But I'd miss it at this point, especially since they didn't add active temp to compensate.
Active temp reading would've been a plus indeed, and locked-in resistance can be convenient - although neither of these features are a "must-have" for me. (I believe the new eVic VTC Mini has active temp and I have one on the way scheduled to arrive this weekend.) It's somewhat odd that I can't seem to find info on this latest firmware (not on Yihi's site either).

I have to admit, the silver certainly looks real nice. Can you tell if the finish is painted? If so, how is it holding up? I guess scratches and peeling paint chips on the silver model might not look as bad as on the black model, so that is a possible advantage in comparison. I wonder if there are any black ones with the V3 chip upgrade yet?

No scratches/chips/peeling right now but it's too early to tell, however it does seem to be a more durable finish and yes if it does scratch/peel I expect it will be much more unnoticeable than the black version. I actually wanted the silver version originally but only the black version was available initially. I expect the black version will be updated to V3 if it hasn't already...it's only a matter of time when they (and distributors) deplete their existing stock. On that note, the new box suggests there will be a white version as well:

Nice, just got mine today and mine says SX130H V3.0 A. Wonder why mine has the A? Is there a way to do a search on a specific thread on here? Trying to find out what the older firmware was without going through one hundred pages. That would be nice if I got the newest version, although I don't plan on using it in temp mode right away. Loving this little guy so far though. Does anyone know if they will be selling additional sleeves? Not the rubber ones but the actual metal sleeve?

And a picture for the thread.

Older firmware, even for the "DEMO" or "TEST" units, as they were shown by some reviewers, was SX130H V2.0. No trace about a 'V1.0' though, and newer ones (3.0/3.0 A) add even more craziness to this matter.

Mine works like a champ and I even like the charging connector, as it is surely more robust and reliable...that is, for charging. But I'm starting to miss the upgrading features. I like the IPV D2 more than the EVIC VTC mini (and I've got both) because of how it feels on my hand and its presumed sturdiness, being the EVIC somewhat less sturdy but fancier. And I performed my first upgrade for the EVIC (from 1.02 to 1.10) just yesterday, without problems...... that could explain why I miss that one on my IPV D2......

....wait! No dynamic resistance shown? No way! I prefer so far to see it........;)

Warn me if suddenly one of them is compatible with Atari's Battlezone on their screens....that would be a valuable use for them!:p

I only received mine on friday, used it with my zephyrus ... There was a sleeve included. Its almost the same size as my cloupor mini ... But on saturday i built a ti coil, coming out at 0.359 and damn that is a smooth vape. Already thinking of buying a 2nd one as backup. Then again, if this one lasts me 5-6 months, we most likely have new other toys to play with :)

Note I started with a joye 510-T moved on to ego a long time ago....

Sorry about baling, but when this thread went all techno-data I was done. I look for a mod that will power my tanks for my way of vaping and really have no desire to be schooled.

A device that comes with a specific set of features should be judged by those features and its ability to perform as expected within its limitations.

Honestly the vtc mini I believe truly shows you active in degrees. Which I would prefer compared to that active resistance nonsense

there arent any TC (ie Ni200) bversions yet that I can find. Havent tried the kanthals..

Whats the problem with the RBA deck?? I have never had a problem with the v1 or the v2 versions! Can I help maybe??
Ha-ha idk I ended up ordering 5 coils like a noob but for 15 bucks then found a site where on sale you could get 40 percent off coils so got 10 more for 20 bucks. I may revisit the rba in the future but it seems like a lot of these tanks nowadays are trending towards good premades (hopefully no duds like the past)

VTC Mini (with 1.10 firmware version) shows active temp and resistance while firing, and set temp and locked resistance when not firing.

Always post what you know, not what you think.

So I'm considering buying one but then I watch a rip review on it and you can only set the temp and not the wattage too. Do you find this makes it easier to use or takes away from the experience. Rip says it immediately goes to 60w then tapers off so I'm assuming they were smart enough to do that without rattle snaking.

When using the tc you set the temp and the Joules. When not in the TC you set the wattage.

Rip is wrong. How amazing!

I am using the VTC Mini set at 30w/420f with a 47 ohm (@room temp) Ti coil. Within less than a second of firing it goes to 78 ohms and full temp. 60 watts would be way too much of a surge.

The iStick TC 40w is the only TC mod that I know of on which you cannot set the wattage in TC mode.
