The crown tank by Uwell has gotten some folks impressed, nice premade coils and a beefy rba section with lots of air and liquid feed. It's not the prettiest one out there but it's a top contender on the list for my next tank.
I have the Crown  I think it actually has a nice look. The steel coils are nice and so far I am enjoying th Ni200 coils. For $30 it is well worth it.

Just keep in mind that contact coils are damn near impossible to do in that rba. I was pretty interested in it as well but I recently took the bait and tried my first clapton in the subtank mini with enlarged liquid and air intakes and vertical coil....blew me away. It's like chewing the flavor, and no more spit back, I doubt I'll ever go back to regular micro coils. And with the pen trick it's so easy to clapton I don't see a reason not to do it.
Spaced coils run fine in my subtank mini. Thinking of buying te nickel wire I'll have to run spaced when I get my d2. Do you have the v2 rba deck? Is it way better? I'm trying to decide whether to buy it. Or just still out the v1 deck I have? Is the new deck configured better to take vertical coils?

I used to think the same about the spaced coils. I was one of the biggest skeptics of the clapton, I've been put in my place tho.
I have the original deck that I did adjustments on to increase both air and liquid flow much like the v2, tho I don't know if the v2 has increased airflow, I think just the holes for liquid have been revamped. Still hear way better thoughts on the v2 compared to stock v1.
The new rba section is actually less friendly towards vertical builds, the wicking needs fill the deck all the way out to the holes to prevent leaking and tight enough but not too tight so it allows for flow. There's a nice picture tutorial out there, if I find it again I'll link.
All that said the new occ vertical coils however a much improvement over the originals.

Found it: Subtank Mini v3 RBA-26g twisted vertical coil build and wicking - Album on Imgur
I do the same thing in the v1 except I use clapton coil and I don't need to pack as much cotton since the liquid is still fed from the bottom.

This also looks like a good idea to improve airflow.

I fear we're drifting away from the original intent of this thread, sorry folks just wanted to lend a hand.

Double post I know, but-

Also confirmed by chat and the employee double checking a unit, the black silicone sleeve IS included in the box! We've got sleeve people!

Not sure what's happening with other vendors, but its a fair assumption to expect orders to start being fulfilled and sites showing stock throughout the next day or 2. I was told this vendor received their shipment last night.

Picked one up from Vivid at 1 PM todays and I just got my tracking number. Vivid is rocking on the fulfillment.
Yeah Vivid Smoke rocks too. I pre-orderd mine from 101Vape because of the price ($49.99). They're near me too (less than an hour south). Shipping UPS today and a tracking number has already been assigned.

Any cons? I've got one on the way along with an rba deck. Pretty excited.
None so far it is a pretty well built solid tank. Top fill, great airflow and it is also Mike Vapes favorite tank as well lol. It is probably thus far my favorite sub ohm tank. The presentation of the coils and the product are excellent. I am on week 4 with a steel coil and no signs of letting up yet

Received tracking info, very excited for this little mod. Any information available on the chip? I've lurked about this thread since it was originally posted and I'm sure the info was discussed somewhere in the past 30 pages but if it was I don't remember much about it...even though I primarily (by a slight margin) got this for temperature control, I also got it as an out and about mod due to the form factor/size/swappable 18650. It will most likely be taking the IPV Mini II's spot in my daily rotation with an RTA on top for all but the most rugged of days. :)

That being said, amidst all the determining whether the resistance locks properly in TC or not I'm curious if anyone has tested its step up/down capability in wattage mode. Being an out and about RTA mod for me, it will probably have its fair share of kanthal builds ran on it as well as ni200/Ti. It would be kinda a bummer if it shared the same step down issue that plagued its bigger brother, the Mini II. I'd be very surprised if the D2 had the problem, being a temp control chip it seems mandatory to have the capability, but haven't seen anyone confirm it yet, especially in Power mode.

I suppose I'll know for myself before the week's out (fingers crossed), but I am curious about the chip, its capabilities, and function...anyone have a number for it?
