Received tracking info, very excited for this little mod. Any information available on the chip? I've lurked about this thread since it was originally posted and I'm sure the info was discussed somewhere in the past 30 pages but if it was I don't remember much about it...even though I primarily (by a slight margin) got this for temperature control, I also got it as an out and about mod due to the form factor/size/swappable 18650. It will most likely be taking the ipv Mini II's spot in my daily rotation with an RTA on top for all but the most rugged of days. :)

That being said, amidst all the determining whether the resistance locks properly in TC or not I'm curious if anyone has tested its step up/down capability in wattage mode. Being an out and about RTA mod for me, it will probably have its fair share of kanthal builds ran on it as well as ni200/Ti. It would be kinda a bummer if it shared the same step down issue that plagued its bigger brother, the Mini II. I'd be very surprised if the D2 had the problem, being a temp control chip it seems mandatory to have the capability, but haven't seen anyone confirm it yet, especially in Power mode.

I suppose I'll know for myself before the week's out (fingers crossed), but I am curious about the chip, its capabilities, and function...anyone have a number for it?

Like storm said, it uses Yihi SX130h chip, it lacks a few of the features found on the SX350j chip but completely understandable considering the price, the battery charge level indicator is a bar only, no actual voltage number like the 350j, it doesn't have the selectable power boost modes like the 350j, no readout for accumulated joules used and it doesn't have the 350's 5 position memory presets...the presets is really the only feature I miss, the others don't bother me. One other difference is resistance lock, on the 350j chip when you lock the resistance that's the number that's displayed whether the device is fired or static, on the 130h chip when the resistance is locked on a fresh room temperature build then fired it displays the active resistance and you'll see the number fluctuate during use as the resistance changes due to heat.

That was no Plague and a totally different chip than the original IPV-mini Designed for higher power users.
* Yes, it could run 7w with the correct coil build.;)

According to my local vape shop owner the D2 does NOT come with a silicone cover, I'll post final confirmation when his 50 piece order shows up tomorrow, and for anyone in So Cal that wants one they'll be at Bodega Vapes in Granada Hills.

Really? That's my local vape shop too! I have one coming, but I wonder how much Bodega will charge for them?

What kinda battery you guys gonna run it when you get yer hands on it? Whatever's laying around?

Until a base line is established, yes.
I have a few New VTC5's and several 25R's so the biggest deciding factor will be actual efficiency.

Hi Amanda, I believe Bodega will be selling them at the retail price of 69.95, they've got rent and employees to pay, 101Vape online is 54.95 plus tax and shipping, or place your order out of state to save the 5 bucks tax.

I hear you. I have a more Sony vtc5's and vtc4's than anything else in my collection except for my blue 25r's and a few efest, Imren and LG's. I'm hoping the D2 won't over amp these new 3100 mah efest's I got a few weeks ago, they're only rated at 20 amps. They do get a little warm in my DNA 40 devices.

Tell you what, those colored silicone covers do look pretty sharp. Looks like they would cover the whole mod.

A grey one would look sharp, only concern for me is if it fits extremely tight like the ones supplied with Sigelei boxes they're somewhat of a pain to get on and off, not a huge deal though If you're concerned about scratches.

That's a good price for a B&M. I have a vape shop a little closer that tried to charge me $120 for a $40 mod once.... I already have a D2 coming, but if I didn't I might have bought from them.

I buy the majority of my vape goods online with an occasional BnM purchase…I've stopped by most if not all vape shops in the valley, the only place I'd even consider is Bodega, a great group of guys and a favorite hangout on days off, my avatar (Gonzo) is the Bodega mascot.

I've just been there a couple of times. Some of the other ones near us are way overpriced!

I contacted an Ebay seller who says they have them in stock and they said they do indeed come with the silicone sleeve.

That's good news, I felt like my shop owner wasn't real sure and kinda guessing…if they in fact do thats a bummer for me not receiving one with the test unit I got…oh well, definitely hope you all get um.
