Did you read the firmware versions?

If the same, no change. Likely a variation in soldering quality.(restrictive loss)
I'll have a look but I think they are the same. As you say it might be slight differences in construction or I screwed up somewhere. I'll check again. stay tuned!!

I just recently got the Hurricane clone and its hands down the best kayfun/taifun type tank ive ever had or tried. The flavor is stellar and the airflow can be cut down to very nice smooth MTL or a restricted lung hit. I got it from Angelcigs and have ordered another one from fasttech with the spare steel tank. Its working very well in TC mode with a twisted 28g coil, ive been enjoying very much.
Ni200 or Ti??

the problem with ss is that there as amny grades of ss wire as stars in the sky. And they all have different resistivities and, more importantly, TCRs so one siized doesnt fit all!
Yes. But if you look at steam engine, you will see different TCR curves for each grade. Not saying they work, but the folks designing the curves try to account for at least some of this variability. But I still need to try it when my vaporshark DNA 200 comes in.

Absolutely. I was really referring to the idea of mods with SS mode (Like Ti Gr1 and Ni200). As you say, the DNA200 can take whatever TCR curve you want to load but a a lower level, you need a mod that will allow setting a user defined TCR value (a big approximation granted) like the SXk chips for example (and I think the Koopor and the smok xcube, probably others). Either that or it will have to have presets for 316L, 304 etc etc etc. Its getting there though! Great time to be vaping I think. So much innovation now and at affordable prices!

X cube will be my next mod no doubt. If a squonker isn't

And that stops it from being a Factory rated 15a, how?
And we know that fits the Vape conditions how?
And we know it is not that 1-n-100,000 that is defective how?

It was/is a recommendation....along with maintenance:facepalm:
Why the facepalm? All I did was post what Mooch found in his tests.

I don't have a squankor but I do have the X cube, save your money and buy a reo, the X cube is decent don't get me wrong. but it is the run of the mill box mod with flashy lights and gimmicks, nothing special IMO. I get more use out of my IPV 4s, D2, Snow wolf,And Sig 150 than the Xbox. it has a more compilcated display I spend more time playing with it than Vaping it.

I don't disagree with Mooch's findings. I suggested testing with another Battery. A rated 20 preferably. What is the Battery if whacked and Dipping radically? Can't tell if one doesn't compare/test.
Spare/backup is never a bad thing.
Also recommended maintenance. Contact coating is a known issue with Mods. I've seen regulated mos refuse to boot back up after a simple battery swap. Quick contact cleaning and Presto - up and running.

Did not see any reason for contradiction is all.
Still don't.

What J/T settings if may ask? I am running a hurricane 1.2 with Ti so interested in a comparison with a Ni build!
Oh cool. 25j/450 I think the D2 is a little low on the temp setting. I compared it to a sxmini and 25j/420 is a comparable vape. But either way its working very good. Using a twisted coil seems to work the best for me with flavor and vapor. This set up in my Hurricane has become my all day vape, its just fantastic.

Im going to get one of these CTHULHU MOD, RTA, Hastur RDA V2 rta, it has a single coil build section. I prefer single coils in most of my stuff. I think you could fit a ni200 or Ti clapton coil in this one which should be a great vape.

Looking forward to trying the Cthulu V2 on my D2 also. I expect the single coil base should perform well, and it will be interesting to see how the Velocity-style deck performs with TC because my Velocity RDAs seem to require much higher Joules at a higher temp to get a decent vape in Ti mode...probably because it is more power-hungry.

I dont have a velocity but ive noticed that dual coils in TC in general take more power to run. One of the reasons I like single coils is battery life.

Yeah I mostly build single coils too...primarily twisted. A single coil twisted build on my Velocity requires 10-15+ more joules and 50-75 higher degrees to achieve a similar vape (versus my Subtank Mini or Goblin Mini for example) using the exact same build.

I wonder if the extra mass of the post cause more resistance or voltage drop. Sounds good anyway lol

Which sounds awesome. Especially for the price. Idk the only decent reos are mechs. Main I'll build my own squonker

Right behind you...
More than likely yes due to the extra mass of the posts (making it more power hungry).

I don't think it's the extra mass of the posts, coils I build ohm out the same on the Velocity as they do on my other atomizers, give or take a few hundredths. So the coils ARE getting the same amount of power.

It's the large chamber (much more air inside acting as an initial coolant, combined with much more metal mass surrounding the air acting as a constant heat sink), and high, DIRECT airflow that make it want more power than a tiny chamber, indirect airflow Subtank RBA.

On the whole, with the same build it uses about the same amount of power as any other dual coil RDA I own. And all my RDAs take more power than any of my RBAs or RTAs.

It's not inefficiency, it's physics. :)
