Do you guys think the uwell crown will go good with the ipv d2. I'm tired of researching and think I will get it next
Black Crown on my D2 looks good to me.

Though I don't happen to have the Uwell Crown yet, and probably won't (just because I've found I have no real need to sub ohm), it was one of my top choices for a sub ohm tank. I ended up getting an OBS T-VCT instead, which turned out to be a somewhat finicky tank that looked better on paper than it worked out in real life.

Oh well, stuff like that happens, eh? If I were to get another "sub ohm" tank anytime soon it would probably be the Aspire Triton, just so I could mouth-to-lung on it with the factory 1.8 ohm coils.

Lots of people really seem to like the Crown tank though, and several have recommended it to me on this forum. It apparently works just as well in real life as it appears it should "on paper".

If you are interested in a new sub ohm tank with the kind of features the Crown has, it is probably one of the better ones of its type. A few posters on this thread have the Crown, so I'm sure several of them will quickly let you know how well their tanks are working out for them, including opinions on the Crown's rebuildable deck - if you are into rebuilding.

70W standard on the boxer - cooler than my Velocity .45Ω dual coil, great flavor but a little less vapor
60W powerful mode on my SX - just about perfect
51W on the D2 - I just started that coil today so it's still breaking in

I found my perfect dripper for at the house - Velocity - so I bought another
I found a tank that almost matches the Velocity's awesomeness for out and about (so I got 3)
I just got these this week but they blow away my Arctics & Subtanks.
I'll reserve that 5th star for when I see if these coils last as long as reviewers say they do.

It's a good thing I DIY, I vaped about 7ml in a few hours visiting my local B&M yesterday.
Extra batteries & juice are essential. I don't leave home without them.

Absolutely. Right now that's exactly what I'm using. The Crown .25 on a D2. Nice form factor, great vape. Highly recommend.
Sounded good to me - I just ended up ordering two (sort of by accident LOL)[emoji14][emoji14]

In Mooch's tests the 30q can handle 20 amps without breaking a sweat. It's on par with the 20 amp LG 3000 mAh battery (hg2?).

Still idk I just like the headroom. Maybe it's cuz I think eventually I'll get a more powerful mod. I'll for sure either get samsung 25r again or vtc4. Based on his reviews those seem to be the best

And that stops it from being a Factory rated 15a, how?
And we know that fits the Vape conditions how?
And we know it is not that 1-n-100,000 that is defective how?

It was/is a recommendation....along with maintenance:facepalm:

The crown 0.25 it's SS wire, can it be use on power mode in D2? I thought SS wire supposed to be use on temp control mode?

From what I know, the stainless coils on a pre-built coil like the Aspire Tritons, are NOT temp control. Don't own a Crown, nor its coils, so maybe someone else can respond.

They're designed for power mode use, just like Kanthal.

But they CAN be used in TC mode with the appropriate mod. However, the D2 is not an appropriate mode to attempt stainless temp control. Just leave it in power mode and enjoy the vape. :)

As far as tank recommendations, I like my SubTank Mini on my D2, but wanted to try some other pre-built coils from other companies. Nickel, titanium, etc. Personally I don't like the hassle and expense of trying the TONS of tank options out there, and avoid smaller company tanks that lock you into buying their proprietary coils, no matter how good the reviews. This left me wondering what slim choices I might have to try something new, but not waste my money, other then buying multiple tanks to test all the new coils coming out. I stumbled upon the EHPro Morph tank, read the reviews, and still doubted it would work as well as described.

Well, I got the Morph tank today, and I'm never one to gush over many ecig products, as they come and go daily it seems. But for the price, the fit and finish on the tons of parts, and all of what you get, is dam impressive! I can't say anything bad about it so far, has an RBA, which I have yet to build, and I see that as a BONUS, since I already like the SubTank Mini RBA. Where this tank shines and was my original interest, is the amount of mainstream PRE-MADE coils you can use with it to test and experiment with!

RBA
Atanitis Coils
Kanger Coils
Delta 2 Coils
*with more adapters supposedly being worked on.

Right now I'm running the Delta 2 titanium coils, working great. I have no reason to believe all the other brand coils won't work just as well with their own specific adapters. I will have to buy a backup glass, as they do not include one, but that is the only item missing. I washed all the included parts, but they were real clean and looked vapeable out of the box.

I bought it from the maker to avoid clones, got it in a week from Hawaii. If you are looking for a new tank and like the idea of trying out multiple brand pre-made atomizer coils, I don't think there is currently any other tank on the market that does all these options. I'll leave it it you, to read the reviews and watch the videos. I don't see myself buying anymore tanks for a long time, other then some specific RBA ONLY style tanks that do not use pre-made coils, and there are a ton of those I'd have to look at and research as well. You really get a lot of top quality parts for your money, incredibly well thought out and executed.

You can check out the specs here:

What mods have SS TC presets? Or just new mods that have offset software. ???
The Aspire Tritons were the first SS pre-builts ones I saw on the market, but we're NOT advertised as TC coils. Does this mean SS coils are one of the few that are compatible on both TC and non-TC mods? From what I've read, nickel and titanium coils are only to be used on TC based mods. Are stainless coils the exception?

Not aware of any. But there are TCR curves for SS for the DNA 200 using escribe. However someone else mentioned it didn't vape well using the custom settings. I don't have my DNA 200 yet but when I get it, if it doesn't vape well I will just use it in watt mode. But honestly the Crown on the D2 is amazing in wattage mode. It's a perfect setup for me.

So it would be rather safe to say that SS coils in general can be use only with Power/VW mode in all devices?

No. If the device allows you to set a custom TCR, then you can certainly use them for temp control. I saw a video the other day where Phil Busardo was vaping SS in TC mode with the Pipeline mod.

I just recently got the Hurricane clone and its hands down the best kayfun/taifun type tank ive ever had or tried. The flavor is stellar and the airflow can be cut down to very nice smooth MTL or a restricted lung hit. I got it from Angelcigs and have ordered another one from Fasttech with the spare steel tank. Its working very well in TC mode with a twisted 28g coil, ive been enjoying very much.

the problem with ss is that there as amny grades of ss wire as stars in the sky. And they all have different resistivities and, more importantly, TCRs so one siized doesnt fit all!

I have two D2s, one from the fist UK batch and another from, what I assume, is a second batch. They are different. One that I assume is the first one vapes about 20-30 degs low compared to the second on Ti setting. So take atty, vape on both D2s at same settings, different vape! R looks very similar on both. 0.158 vs 0.163 or something like that so mayve a 5 mOhms variation. Not enough to explain the difference in T I think...

Did you read the firmware versions?

If the same, no change. Likely a variation in soldering quality.(restrictive loss)
