Anyone using the D2 with uwell crown or TFV4 mini.
I've had the crown for a while and picked up the TFV4 mini today. But neither tank seems to work well with the D2. And I still prefer the subtank mini.
With both tanks the mod and tank gets extremely hot, but the D2 doesn't seem to be able to get up to temperature in TC mode. Not quite as bad with the SS coils in the crown or the prebuilt Clapton coil in the TFV4, but still seems under powered giving a very airy vape with no flavour.
maybe these tanks need a high powered mod, but I've seen reviews that rave about these tanks at settings well within the capabilities of the D2.

I run a full size TFV4 on my D2, with the dual coil RBA, dual 26ga 2.5mm 10 wrap Ti builds, set to 520F/35J, airflow at 50%, and it works great. As a rebuildable, for me, it kicks the everlivin' crap out of a Subtank Mini (but that's a low bar), once you get the wicking down.
Anyway, crank your temps up and/or dial your airflow down a bit. Keep in mind that the D2 tends to run quite a bit cooler than your setting, and trying to run titanium around the "recommended" 420F range is pretty much guaranteed to give you a weak vape.

coming from the invader mini to this as a work mod, the battery just seems to be next lvl on this device. easily getting two days of infrequent use compared to one on the invader.
Still use this in conjunction with my rdn40 and sxmini m class. Can't get over how good value this mod is for the price.

It doesn't lock resistance in power mode, but like scaredmice said, it makes for a nice ohmmeter.
I just received my 2nd d2 today. My first was v2.0. Didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the thread but my new one is v3.4. I'm assuming it has the Atty lock/ resistance lock but the screen is much brighter and almost appears washed out compared to my v2.0. Oh well for 40 bucks it still seems to be all I could ask for until my Reuleaux gets here!
Once again, it ALWAYS had resistance lock/atty lock, the difference now is that since v3.0 it doesn't show live resistance because it confused a few ill-informed reviewers and users. Killing the live resistance display makes the reviewers happy but it's a step backwards, making troubleshooting (inevitable) build problems much harder.
Never better said, that step back to get happier reviewers and users, those who sillily complained about 'it doesn't lock resistances' is a bad move...
...it got me out of a second purchase some day. I really hoped Pioneer4You had thought twice about this...[emoji53]

Device is very small and sturdy (they say the smallest device with controlled temperatures on the market),
switch maybe even a little too hard, but it is not minus.
In power mode, the range is from 7W to 75W, and at a temperature of 100 to 300 C
The battery cover is held by rail and beads, but is strong enough and there is no risk of accidental opening.
In the box to receive device, silicone sleeve, charging cable and a manual.
The biggest minus of this mode is the charging port, did not put a micro USB rather than a round 3.5 mm,
so that if you plan to charge your device with cable, you must have the original cable with you,
you can not charge with cable from your cell phone.
Device has Yihi sx130h chip that is doing its job in joule and power mode.
Menu is not complicated, it is entered with six clicks on power button,
click on the fifth offer power off, and the sixth menu offers power mode or joule mode,
you change with the + and - and confirm that with the power button,
if you select power mode after that it offers a way out and then the + and - set how many watts you want,
and if you choose joule mode then offered to show the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit in,
then go set the temperature
and then a choice between ni200 and titanium coils.
And that's it as far as the menu.
In combination with goblin mini this device looks fantastic, small and compact, and works great.

I guess you don't know that there is no step down on this device in Power mode. So don't use it in Power mode @ 7W to pulse your Ti coils clean, or try to use a 1 ohm Kanthal coil at less than 18W...
It was when it hit the market back in July.
Yeah that does cause some confusion/surprise to some people when they get the mod and try to start with a setting like 0.5 ohm @ 15 watts on a fully charged battery and it gives them closer to 35 watts. I think you have to get around the 2.5 ohm range to get 7w in power mode.
Poor design choice compared to current devices, but if you don't run those ranges in Power mode, you won't have any issues. It's not a device to recommend to tootle puffers for sure!
I picked up a pair of D2's for TC which works a whole lot better than that janky PoS eVic VTC Mini I took back.
I knew that 2 days after I returned the VTC there would be a new firmware out for it. Still I am enjoying the iPV D2's daily in TC and have no complaints.
I actually like the barrel connector for charging, the cables are $1 each from FT so I'll grab 6 on my next order and just leave one at work, a buddy's house, in the car etc..
You can tootle puff to your heart's content in Ni mode using Kanthal anyway since it does step down in that mode. I just set temp to max and adjust joules down to the wattage I want. It would be nice if power mode had the step down but at least it can be done. I have been enjoying the hell out of my D2.
