You didn't have to open it again just for pics, but thanks!

So what is the significance of the "SX130 Chip" statement you made above? Upon tear down this time did you see that on the chip or?

No, I have several Regulated mods including Both the ipv Mini's and the Mini2.
Top two pics are the Mini2
Bottom is Mini to compare

I was impressed by the much thicker wiring used in the mini 2 to handle the increased output. Also all wires are kept to minimal lengths.

Tear down isn't a problem. I've been diving into DC electronics for 40yrs. Built a few hundred computers too.

Mine is the same. So they upgraded the chip (v7.0 may be an upgraded version) and tricked us like it is a new chip? Let's sue them :)

BTW I got mine from MVP and sent them an email. Anyone contacted with the seller of theirs?

........Umm...................NOT The Same...........Not even Close

ETA: Edited original Pic post to reduce confusion

Thanks for clarifying crxess! When you had it open did you notice any reason to why the iPV 2 has the dimple inside the batt tube?
I looked at a few at my local shop and they all have it, I suspect it is just to keep the batt in snug with no rattle.

So what do you think why it comes out as sx130 instead of sx330? A faulty batch or just showing a wrong output? will it have a problem in long term? Just asking as a person not into the electronics

No Wrong output. You do not understand information reporting.(Boot Info) This is simply a Display of FIRMWARE Version. This has nothing do do with Componants in use. FIRMWARE is hard coded Software to run the Componants, that is all. Firmware is Code programmable and can display whatever information the Manufacturer wishes within volume parameters. - Version, Name, pic pr jibborish.

Sorry, no signs of anything in the Mod itself that might cause it. Sides are smooth and Flat. Mine has no Dent, but is snug with Samsung R25's. Panasonic CGR's slip in/out easily.
May be a result of pressing things into place - Thumb Dumb assembler -

crxess, does the ipv mini 30w display the same information as the v2 ?

I get what you are saying, they simply changed the output voltage/wattage within the frimware (wich is quick and easy) and flashed it onto a board (sx330in this case) wich could handle the increased "load". The only thing wich i find a bit strange is, that they added and edited features out of the firmware, it would have taken 2 seconds to edit that particular line in the code. ( As you said yourself, the display could state anything)

Right behind you...
Costs too much??? Really???
They're only $18 and they have a 15% off code of: 15OFFNOW... so only $15.30 after discount.
A single bottle of e-juice averages $13???

$18 can buy me 120ml of my favorite juice. At that price, I can afford to just let a little juice spill on my mod, nice and grippy then, and I get contact nic. :)

No, Firmware does not work quite that way. The SX130 and SX330 are different Beast. Firmware has to be written to work with a given Processor in controlling given components. Likely, YiHi Did the Firmware to provide Functions requested By P4Y and included their requested Display information.
YiHi would have no stake in this beyond Providing working product.

Hey guys I'm hoping one if you can help me out. Next month will be a year without a cigarettes! So I decided I should reward myself since I haven't ever bought a mod just had a zmax gifted to me which was the best thing ever helped me stop the day I got it. Anyways I ordered an ipv mini 2 and a kanger subtank mini my question is with the subtank should I grab the 70vg mix now instead of 50 50 or is it just personal preference? I've read up on all I need I think expect this I can't find a solid answer. Any help would be appreciated. As well I ordered from my vapor store this morning around 6am are they pretty quick? I thought it would get shipped today since presidents day will screw up my delivery time already but still says it's processing unfortunately. Thanks guys!
