I just ordered a silver Mini like in the photo below.

However, the photo I saw on the internet of the silver Mini I ordered, that flat section on the side of the mod that the buttons are located on looked to be black in color ... but in the photo below the flat area on the side looks silver ... I wonder if there are two versions of the silver Mini?

Durability - Leaving work, did a dumb thing. (suffering from Work injury to (r) arm with loss of strength and control)
Managed to Drop mine along with 3 other Mech mods, along with everything in my lunch pack, from Cab height (ford Ranger) while getting situated to leave. It was already dark but I could tell by the sound, the ipv Mini hit first and hit hard. Took a few minutes to feel for everything, then backed up to use the headlights to do a final check.
After getting home(no cab light) and inspecting, the mini stood up well. It now has about 6 pick marks from the asphalt but No Scratches. Still Works Perfect. Some how it took the full hit and saved my Orchid v3.5. :)

Hopefully this will not become habit:facepalm:

Now I'm ...... . . . Elev8 just came back and said that they'll send my IPV Mini to Modus for repair? This is a brand new frickin' device that was defective from the factory!!! Anyone else ever have this happen?? At this rate it could be weeks before I get it back. Told them that at this point I simply want a refund and will buy another one . . .

this is ridiculous! I know if I do get one, it won't be from Elev8.

So glad it still works fine! Sorry you're having to deal with the injury. I also have weakness in my right arm/hand and drop everything.

You do realize this is a New Release and we all jumped on the front of the train? Never uncommon for an interesting piece to sell out on first runs. Likely they will have inventory shorty, but Holiday season never helps.
Your Complaint is with the Vender, Not the repair service or P4U
Repair Service is a good thing for all of us. Most manufacturer offer Jack for support.

Trailz, Did you send it back because it does not read ohms until the button is pressed? That is normal. The unit is inactive until you trigger it.
I never complained about Modus. My complaint is elev8, rather than issuing a replacement, is going to send the device to Modus who doesn't have it in stock to honor a warranty replacement. So a brand new mod that came with a defect that has been sent back for RMA replacement is going to be sent to the warranty provider who does not have the device in stock to honor warrantee? Doesn't make sense.

Sounds like elev8 doesn't want to pull from their good stock to replace the device. That's just unacceptable and I shouldn't have to wait a month or more to get a replacement. If elev8 were out of stock, I understand that. But this is not the case. I'm confident that we'll work out a solution.

Mobile mode is a stupid feature to begin with. Who's really going to charge a mobile device with a mod? I guess it could work in a pinch, but who really lets their phone battery run all the way down? I just throw my phone on the charger every other night no matter what the battery level. And what the above poster said, this is probably the design. It's not meant to have an atty on it when in mobile mode.

IMHO, I wouldn't use it to charge anything. Especially since it's a separate fugly add-on that I would have to purchase. Not worth it. At least the MVP is built in.

Mine came today. Nice weight and feel in hands. Did notice some light scratching on display. Controls are ok, but trying to get use to when it goes into memory mode vs just changing watts. Noticed attys seem to take longer to screw on for some reasin vs other devices. Vape is good, but seems like ohm readings may be off as it couldnt handle a .6 build - read it as .3 and kept saying low resistance. Overall, probably worth what I paid for a backup device. But doesnt come close to higher end devices like VS.

Check and see if the light scratching on your display is a plastic protective film.
How much does the VS cost?
Just curious as I may like to get one.

The DNA 30 is $99. The rDNA 40 is $189. There is a code for 10% off (hohoho) . I have both and they're awesome. Highly recommended.

I like the replaceable battery, but it's a little to costly for my wallet. Though one day I would love to have one.
I've decided to not buy any more devices that I cannot replace the batteries in.

This is precisely why I was interested in the ZNA and e IPV Mini. So far, the ZNA is winning.

Yep, we are on the same page. New Defective - Replace. Goes faulty during warranty - Repair. I'm betting P4Y is not in agreement with elev'8s way of handling New Defects. This ain't no co-op sale - lol

Swear I thought this was the IPV Mini thread.

Yep, the Vapor sharks are hands down the best devices on the market, IMO. I own a DNA30 (little bugger, great for travel, packs a punch), and rDNA30 (same as the regular, but with removable battery - but no longer being sold), and also ordered an rDNA40 but it hasn't arrived yet. But, no one can have too many devices and I couldn't pass up the low cost for the IPV Mini.

Is it just me or is thing an ugly pig? My istick works well, as does my mvp and my e-lvt. Why do I need this pig?

Just curious - is it one for the cloud boys? Oh, come on - you'd tell me. :)

It's just you. I usually vape between 8W - 15W and have no need for sub-ohm, but I think it looks great. I've been using the istick for the last 6 weeks or so and this will probably be my go to device now with the istick as my backup. IMO, it looks better, my Nautilus fits it better and I much prefer devices with replaceable batteries.

I definitely like the fit of some of the 22m tanks on top of the IPV Mini. It's a box mod, but the rounded and tubular design makes the mod and tank flow together quite nicely. I've tried it with a Nautilus, Kanger, and a Silo - all sit nice and flush on top.
