Well, if you sit it face down on a table and PUSH DOWN hard on it it will turn mobile on. Not sure why anyone would want to, but it will.

Honestly I am surprised at all the panic over a Feature.

The buttons have a decent resistance and are a bit clicky. I tried several times to press both at once with one finger. No luck.

I do not carry unlocked or turned on mods in my pocket so............No Guinea Pig here.:D

Think safe, be safe - 5 clicks OFF

Finish is not very durable.
Wear at 22mm ring area
Wear at bottom from sitting on hardwood table
1 week
Not so worried about the finish. Simple to Wrap or strip and paint. Two wires to de-solder(+ wire) on pin & Negative is on a eye near + wire

Why does anyone even care about the mobile feature? How many times have you really charged your cell phone off your apv? How many times has someone accidentally pressed their buttons enough times to activate some sort of ever-fire feature? There's no way anyone is going to accidentally fire this thing in their pocket. Period.

I constantly carry my Mini in my right front pocket and have not had an issue. All day at work on my feet, bending and lifting and I do not lock it. I really don't see hitting both buttons at to exact same time to activate that feature. I know anything is possible but I believe it is HIGHLY unlikely.
IF, it ever happens, I will post as soon as it happens.
And come to think of it.. I have never accidentally activated the actual fire button while in my pocket.

But, if you feel safer turning it off, more power to you. It's your mod, do what makes you feel safe.

Well as luck would have it, my IPV mini has decided to crap the bed. other night it just turned itself off several times and would not respond to the 5 clicks has to remove the battery to restart it. Then yesterday when I turned it on the screen was all garbled and un legible cycled it on and off several times and it finally cleared up vaped on it for a few hours andit started the same behavior now all I get is the garbled screen. I noticed that when it did clear up for a few hrs the display was pulsating whenever it was firing. I never noticed that before. Oh well contacted the dealer i bought it from waiting to hear back. Sad part is it started this right after I put the skin on it so now I've wasted a skin cause I've removed it to return the device. And it was working perfectly until it started this strange behavior.

Thanks to all for the advice on adjustable air flow toppers. I will check them out.
I am really enjoying the mini so far and would have no problems recommeding it. Its exactly what I was looking for.
The moble to moble charge feature is a non issue for me. Honestly, they could have left that feature off. It was not the reason I wanted the device.

Torture is knowing that USPS says that mine is about a mile away and I won't get it till tomorrow :censored:

Which is exactly why I ordered mine through Amazon. I placed the order at around 2:30am today and picked same-day-delivery which only cost me $10, and i just checked my account and it's already been picked up by Ontrac and is en-route to my house from Compton to Long Beach. hehe. On a Sunday even!

Agree about the finish not being very durable. In hindsight the silver would have been the best choice. For those considering this mod I recommend silver.

Well, it's a Godsent that Chinese companies like 'YiHi' are not in the business of making complex electronic aircraft navigation systems that people depend there life on to be accurate and reliable all the time.

oh well ....

I can Build an APV that has Every Feature under the Sun. With a Wattage Range from 1 ~ 200W that has a 99.999999999999999% Reliability Rate. No Problem.

But can I do it for an APV that is slated to sell Retail for 50 Bucks?

Well, the circuit board / chipset in the Mini more than likely cost about $5 in China to manufacture.

I am thinking if they [doubled] the price of manufacture to $10 for a higher quality board (same basic specs), most customers wouldn't mind paying the extra 5 bucks for a more reliable unit.

But, what do I know ...

Look at the reliability in even a real cheap basic 'flip' style cellphone ... Lots more electronics than in these mods were buying ... even a real cheap cellphone will last forever as long as there not thrown in the pool or dropped from the second floor to the sidewalk below.

About the only thing that goes wrong with them is that after a long period of time, they finally won't hold a charge anymore.

Before you ship back
Long Q-tps and Alcohol on the contacts. What you are describing perfectly fits Poor Battery Contact.

eVic pulled that one on me. Fiddled with it for 2 evenings before thinking about the upper battery pin under the control head.

Skin on waxed paper in a baggy. :)

I really feel bad for these people that are buying those $300 Vapor Flasks .... Read the posts in that very long thread, and it's very obvious that the Vapor Flask is really really having problems with it's circuit board .... Seems to be crapping out on the majority of the units being purchased.

Again, another chip maker that don't need to be in the business of ever selling electronics to the medical or aerospace industry!

Don't feel bad for us VF owners, I have one and it's outstanding. It's not VF that has the issue and I've read a ton of threads with Hana's and VS having the same issues. And that chip was made right here in the US and it will cost you the same price (really a little more) then an IPV mini.
