Yeah, it was frustrating to rebuild my rda and i had to redo the coils so many times. I hope theres a update to fix that problem in the future or at least get rid of the min. of .5 ohm
Has anyone noticed that in PWM mode, when selected less than 4 volts, the battery icon flashes up and down stripes?
I have checked it with full and low charged batteries, to see it does not depend on battery charge. I think it must mean something.

A friend brought an IPV Mini with an Aspire Nautilus to a party recently and let me check it out. Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
I'm a little concerned because I'm still toking on my first mod -- a Vamo/Protank combo -- and will have to figure this thing out.
Of course, he's an engineer and nothing he said sunk in. It was like watching an episode of "The Big Bang Theory."

I don't think you will have any problems Figuring Out your IPV Mini.
And I 3 or 4 Days, will probably be Answering newbie questions about it from others.
Either way, I think you will be Fine. And like your IPV Mini when it arrives.
Some of us Delve into the Technical Depths of All thing Electrical when it New Mod comes out. And Pick apart every Specification. But at the End of the Day, you don't have to Know or Understand much about how a VV/VW Mod works to enjoy it.
Just use it the way you use your Vamo. Start at a Low and slowly increase the Wattage until you have the Hit you are looking for. That's All there Really is.

Apologies if I missed any previous posting, but what is the general consensus from owners on the charging port? Does it seem robust? I do not currently have standalone battery chargers, as I have all regulated mods. I would like to be able to just rely on the usb port for this.
I for one, have been a very happy Istick user......and was about to buy another but really like the replacable battery feature here...and sounds like better power management.

Got the same answer from elev8, not sure it is really worth it. Problem only seems to occur when reading a coil at less than 1.0 ohm
Who did you speak with? I can never get through. I don't care for the idea of needing to send in a defective devise and being without it while they decide what to do with it.
You'll be hard pressed to find a company that will send you a replacement without you sending yours first. Must be a trust issue...
I think Roxy nailed it on the head. It's great for a 50 dollar mod. If you're stepping up from a more basic mod or looking for an extra out and about device you should be happy. If you have more sophisticated devices don't compare it because it won't measure up.
I bought mine from a B&M who wanted 80 dollars for the unit. I walked out paying 55 dollars.

I dunno. I find I tend to do better online than with the b&m by a far greater margin. Between the markup and the sheer ignorance being promoted...ymmv
Initially I wanted to be disappointed in the IPV Mini. But after vaping with the replacement unit for a few days, I really have nothing to complain about. My only gripe is the mobile mode, and that so minor as to be laughable.
I get a consistent, rechargeable vape on all my Rd/ta's of choice, it's lasts me the majority of the work day, and I can top it off at my desk or on the way home for $50. And it it dies, I can likely revive it by tossing in a different chip. That's a great deal of value imo. I feel my $45 was well spent regardless of the overall outcome at this point.
Charging port works great. Just like the Istick. Wish it wasn't bottom mounted though. 510 connection quality is a big upgrade over the Istick. Floating pin
I agree with you , it's a great mod FOR THE MONEY. Here in south Fl. vape shops are a dime a dozen. I walked out knowing exactly what the condition of my unit was. I tested it , examined it and didn't need to go through what others are describing. I never rely on a sales person for information when it comes to vape gear. They don't know jack about Ohms or battery safety or tanks for that matter.
I liked it's appearance so I too will not be disappointed if it takes a crap.
I have a ton of mods so no big deal. It would have been a mad steal if it functioned to specs.

I got mine yesterday and it seems like it's grafted to my hand.
My onboard charging port works fine. I have a trustife charger as well but used the mini port on the ipv. I powered it down first, and the status light on moe doesn't stay on, so I had to click a button every couple hours until it had a solid battery on the screen.
Yea why isn't there some sort of indicator of charge status?

I'm pretty certain this will be my next mod. Since my only other mods have been regulated with built-in (non replacable) batteries, I am a bit out of the loop on good batteries.
Can you make a couple recommendations on what I should be shopping for in the battery? I will do my own homework, but I just want to know the basics as an average consumer. I don't need to become battery technical mastermind. Are there going to be advantages to button or flat top with this mod?
I assume I want a safe, reliable 18650, and I won't go on the cheap with a battery........regulated or not, I want to be safe. I only build in the 1.5 to 2.0 ohm range and typically vape at 8-10 watts.
