what made you choose the blu over the 510 to begin with? i'm fresh off the boat into Newb-town and hadn't really seen much in positive reinforcement for the blu e-cig....

You would be surprised then to know that a *lot* of people dont find ecf untill they get a commercially manufactured ecig and aren't happy with it or just want to see what else is out there.

Oh yea that was real dumb on my part, I hadn't done enough research when i bought the blu, and in fact i just found this site a few days ago (which is actually what made me order the 510). If i had found this site beforehand, it would have been a 510 that i bought first, definitely not the blu

I cant comment on the battery life on a blu because I've never used one. I can tell you I was lucky to get 30-45 minutes of heavy vaping off the 510. Definitely get a PCC.

Well, I have never used a 510 batt, but I did own a blu for a couple of weeks before I sent it back for my full refund :)

I can't imagine a 510 being any worse.... it has to be better I would think.

Not sure when you got your blu, but remember you have 30 days from the day it shipped to you for a full refund.

Fresh off the boat here, too, and I haven't tried the standard 510 battery, but I got a Riva 510 just the other day, and I vaped for a solid eight hours, almost constantly. Some of the analog users I showed it to were iffy about the size and weight, but I didn't find anything wrong with it.

...Then again, I smoke cigars and a pipe, so take that as you will.

your 510 battery will last longer than your blue...especially fresh off the factory floor you should be looking at two hours...all batteries, including blu's and ego's, eventually have less and less life in them. If you got a 510 either get a pcc, which is also good for holding extra cartomizers or carts, or you can get an ego/riva/inferno/tornado fat battery down the road all your atty's carts and such will work with both so it is no problem getting a bigger batt later if you want.

my hubby actually found ecf when he was researching e-cigs for me....but he knew eventually i would have found this place BEFORE making a purchase....i'm just a research fiend, pay me no mind

I was in a hurry when I wrote that earlier and now the I have looked at what I typed it seems I may have come off a bit sarcastic, which was not my intention. I was actually quite serious.. alot of the people here bought some crap from the mall or off one of the largely advertised sites and hated it, but wanted to give vaping a shot anyway.

I was the ......ed one :p I had researched it online first because.. well.. thats what I do with everything ever since that one time which will not be mentioned (whole different story). And even though I had a 510 in the mail on the way to my door i *STILL* went out and bought mall crap ;)

I've been planning on getting a PCC soon after i get my 510, but does anyone know if it has any better battery life than the blu?

Another question, I already have a PCC for my blu, does anyone know if I can charge my 510 standard battery with the blu PCC?

edit: thanks golden! glad to hear it =]

The way I understand it is even if you can get a 510 to fit in the blu PCC, the negative and positive poles are reversed, so it wont work anyway.

I did order the manual battery actually because thats what I've been told is the best way to go. Is there any particular reason (besides no cutoff) that the manual is better than auto?

Yep
No priming puff
Easier draw
Shorter learning curve for most folks.
Nearly impossible to flood battery in normal use
No chance it can turn on due to loud noises or strong wind

and that is why i went with manual over auto....when im ready to vape, i don't really want a whole lot of fuss. granted, i am totally accepting of the upkeep, i just don't want extra steps getting in the way....
