Not an argument so much... I was just sharing some of my Black Honey ( from Swamp Vapor lafayette, LA ) with the guy that runs the underwater robot out here on the oil rig. He tells me he is ...... that he left his carto tanks at home with his wife. he says he could vape non stop for his 21 days out here without any burnt taste.

Now on my last hitch out all i had was cig-a-likes and he loaned me some juice to drip into them. The juice really freshened up my grape and strawberry cartos, and they were already kinda burnt. My vape buddy showed me what kind of tanks he has and the slotted cartos ( look like rifle casings stuffed with fiber )...

I have sampled juice through a carto tank in tampa...

Are these things going to out perform a protank II in flavor, vapor production, TH?

If they truly rock... I will get a few once I use up all my coils and reorder new juice...

The value in clearo's I have tried would could have paid for a couple Provari. I don't use them anymore. I use carto tanks. The guys that do the RBA's and the direct drippers often say that what they are doing is better and it might be, I don't know.

I have had three Protanks, someone out here suggested I had a bad one. There is still one here, I threw one away and gave away the other.

I want ease of use, good vaping quality, and minimal fiddling. The carto tanks are giving me a good balance of my requirements.

I can't see 21 days, but it really depends on the juice. I use everything I have pretty much in a rotation. Cartos, clearos, top coil, bottom coil, ect. With all the same juice. They all give it a different flavor. The cartos do seem to last longer though. As long as you keep them wet. I personally use the vivi nova the most out of anything though. But I need to rebuild the coils one a day though.

Compared to what? Compared to an protank or clearo, yes, compared to a good rba or rda, umm no. A lot though does have to do with personal preferences. I enjoy making builds and finding better ways to build my rba's. They are easy to re-wick and dry burn the coil, and deliver excellent vape. There are just so many options with atomizers, and finding one that fits your needs and tastes is part of the challenge. I doubt that I'll ever try a carto, though some of my builds, vertical mounted micro coils with external wicks, do use the same principles as a carto, but with using cotton or hemp fiber for wick instead of what ever the mysterious poloyfiber that is in cartos. lol To each his own. Experiment till you find what works best for you and gives the most satisfying vape. Just like everything else in the world of vape.

I think you will get a fairly unanimous Boge
per the original question I say yes no doubt Cartotanks outperform clearo's and pro tanks. After many months of trying everything I really fell in love with Kayfuns and drippers. Someone suggested I try a carto tank for traveling and snowboarding and now they are in my daily rotation. They really rival my drippers and kayfuns and I would not give them up.
On the question of best cartos I would suggest Ikenvapes platinum series they are amazing!

ok what is the best carto tank then... for example on fasttech... point out a good tank and cartos... I like the tanks with metal shroud... any help appreciated...

On the taste side of things I think the right cartomizer is more important than the right tank. I would prefer a pyrex, glass, or quartz tank but also would want to pick the cartomizer with the right resistance for the device. I think people will have differences on what cartomizer they like but I use Ikenvape, I will not say that everyone thinks it is the best but I like them.

I prefer pyrex / borosilicate glass tanks, I'm unaware of any carto tank with a metal shroud.

Phiniac ---> Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks
Ibtanked ---> IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

Smok DCT has the metal and I like the tank set up. I don't like buying cartos and changing them as often as I need to. I like the taste and vape so I put up with it. Problem is that my carto always seems to get funky half way through a tank and I have to change with all the juice in the tank. Pour out the juice, try not to make a mess, prime a new carto and re assemble the thing. No big deal if I am at home, but it is a pain when I am out and about or on the truck.

The Aspire BDCs have been working pretty well for me and are my go to when I am tired of fiddling with my cartos. Both are good, just seems one day a different one will work well. I have the DCT carto tank, the boge carto tanks, the Valley View Vapes (closed) tanks and a Raven's Nest that I haven't tried yet. That carto is different in that it is more of a dripping situation with much less filler. Looking forward to seeing what it does. I am also have a dripper but haven't started building coils yet!

Price isn't bad but I have been using dual coils. Don't know if I would notice the difference?!

I enjou the smok dct with smok flanged cartos.

I hust ordered some dcts from fasttech that were less than $6 each and glass, should be here this week, they are only 3 ml as he ones i have are 6ml, and seem much.

As far as changing out cartos when there is still juice in the tank i use syringes and gauges and just suck it up in the tube. The syringes come with caps so you can even store your juice in them like that.
