I know that I am new to vaping and I understand that with every particular hobby or interest comes it's own unique set of customs or quirks that one must become familiar with and deal with. However after multiple failed attempts to place an order with Ahlusion I feel compelled to ask this question. Is Ahlussion really worth all the inconvenience and hoop jumping required to just place an order? I understand that people tend to want something more when they are denied or limited access to it. In my last FAILED several attempts to make a purchase from this vendor I couldn't help feeling as if I were on the other side of the velvet rope hoping to be selected to enter Studio 54 during their heyday in the 80's. In reading the Ahlusion web site they claim to be all about customer service and maintaining high quality product production. However their "don't care attitude toward new potential customers makes me wonder just how good their customer service really is. Honestly this vendor seems to be more like a private club than a business. Perhaps they should represent themselves as just that, a private club that is currently not taking on new members. Then when the time comes they can reopen their books and take on some new member. Meanwhile they wouldn't be wasting peoples time trying to make a purchase only to have the store close while you are standing in line to check out. Are they really that good to justify all the B.S. I literally had to wait until today when I was off to be able to place my order and while loading my cart they closed down. Now the next available time to order will not be until Tuesday, and who knows how long they will remain open. I understand that they can only produce so much juice in a day. No problem they should at least let you place your order and then they can email you with an expected date of production. What other vender can I go to to purchase really good high quality juice comperable to Ahlusion? Thanks Stu

I agree with you whole-heartedly. There's a few other 'artisan' vendors out there that do the same thing. I got caught up into all of the hype when I first started too. Once I was able to get an order in, it took a couple of weeks to receive. All this hype and anticipation.....only to be extremely disappointed in the juice. Not to mention the price. I don't care if the container is beautiful, cute little cards in the box, sweet little charms on the bottles. GIVE ME MY JUICE! :) Needless to say, I don't order from them anymore because I've found SO many other vendors out there that provide good juice, fast shipping and get my repeat business :).

All the vendors use the same flavorings, and USA made nicotine. Which is the exact same as I use with my DIY.

If you don't like the hoops, just make your own. It is very easy to do, especially if you like simpler flavors, and once you know what you like you will save TONS of money. The stuff costs about 5 cents to make, even for "high quality" vendors. :2c:

This is not true. There are vendors out there that make their own flavorings, that extract their own coffees and tobaccos and teas. I'm not an Ahlusion fan by any means, but they are one of those vendors. There are vendors that buy their flavorings from Ahlusion.

I stand corrected. But I still won't pay that much for having to jump through hoops. Life is way too short, my nicotine fix is way too important and I can mix up a batch of my favorites in under 5 minutes, for less than 5 cents a ml. I have tried the high end vendors (including Ahlusion) and wasn't impressed which is why I started DIY. I got sick of the price and the aggravation. I like my custom juice better than anything I have ever bought simply because I can customize it easily at my leisure with no waiting or shipping expenses/time. Again, just my :2c:

ETA: I used to buy tobaccos from Spring Vapor, the chocolates/coffee from Halo, and still do like the Hazelnut (witch hazel's nuts) from Nashville Vapor. I had other vendors I bought from once, but again I refuse to jump through hoops or wait a long time for them to ship so they never got repeat business.

I made an order with these folks on Monday. Yesterday they sent me like 3 emails saying stuff like "hey we are starting your order" then another one "hey we are mixing the juice right now" and then another saying "hey we finished your order and now its in the packaging area to be sent out"....3 emails yesterday

so today i log on figuring there will be another email saying "heres your tracking number" but nope there wasnt one

i looked at the site today...they are not reopening til after memorial day

so i guess that means my finished order is just sitting there since about 2pm yesterday afternoon and now wont be mailed until next tuesday

the reality is i dont care how great the juice is...i wont order from people who do business like this ever again

I have had their juice and while u can tell it's quality and very clean, it was not for me. After waiting to order, waiting FOR my order, then having to let it steep, I found their flavors way too light for my tastes. If I have to wait that long I want a juice that's going to knock my socks off. Theirs did not. I did enjoy their cider juice, it had good flavor, but not enough to go through all the hassle to buy it again.

Maybe they are not interested in tripling their sales. Maybe this is actually a company that cares about the quality of their product and doesn't want it to suffer because of mass production. Rolls Royce could triple their sales by lowering their quality and increasing their production, but it wouldn't exactly be a Rolls Royce now would it?

OP- I really don't think they are trying to run a private club. I ordered from them as a new customer and didn't have to do anything special to gain access. As far as customer service, have you contacted them and told them you are frustrated that you haven't been able to place an order? Try that before assuming they don't give a ..... about new customers.

unclestu,

I'm fairly new myself and am exploring different vendors just to see what's out there and how folks do things. A survey of the landscape before starting my DIY adventure. I just placed an order with ahlusion and got a confirmation email about the order placement. There's a phrase in the email that says something like "once the order has been accepted..." and this thread has me thinking that my order might be rejected since I just started my account with them this morning.

Seems like customers need to get up early in the AM to get their order in. Luckily I live in the same time zone, so it's not an ungodly hour for me. I'm up about that time anyway.

I can see keeping things limited to monitor quality, and the owners of ahlusion do have things going on outside of their eLiquid shop (seeing this with a quick scan of their bio page). I am curious though why you weren't successful in your first attempts with ordering.

For what it's worth, Mt. Baker Vapor has great customer service, fast shipping, and good flavors all at really good prices. These guys have been my standard so far for my all day vape flavors. My boutique flavors will be special occasion / weekend juices. Anyway, just my 3 cents (sorry, I tend to ramble)...

They talk about limiting production so as to be able to provide the best customer service. Does that mean if you are an existing customer you get some sort of special password that allows you to place an oder when you need to order rather when they decide to be open? If their existing customers have to put up with the same hoop jumping to place an order as a new 1st time customer I can't see that as being such great C.S. Sounds more like B.S. to me.
If their juice is really so much better than anyone Else's they really need to be careful and not fall victim to hubris. I mean 11AM EST and they shut down? They should at lease post an announcement on the site before they are about to close. You know attention KMart shoppers the store is closing in 15 minutes. This way you don't get left unable to checkout after you loaded up your cart.

For the record, I sent a question to Ahlusion this morning and received a reply from the owner within 45 minutes. I have spent less than $20 with Ahlusion so far, so it's not like I'm a long-time customer that gets any kind of VIP treatment.

I sent them a message last week a very nice complimentary message and I am still waiting for a reply. Though I never had the chance to spend any$ yet as they are always closed when I try.

I guess I don't really consider checking their website to see if they are open jumping through hoops. If they are not open and accepting orders I just order from another company.

I get your frustration, as a society we are used to getting whatever we want, whenever we want it. Contact them and voice your frustration, give them a chance to make it right and if they don't in your mind, you never have to spend a dime with them.

I swear I haven't done anything special to get in their good graces! You check your spam folder?

If they are not interested in growing their business that is fine. I am well aware that good things are worth waiting for. I see no reason why they need to shut down an online ordering system at 11AM because they reached their prpduction limit for the day. They can simply accept the order and notify when the order will be produced. Many people don't have the time to arrange their schedule around when a juice vender is open to accept an order. This is the third time I tried to ordr from them. The 1st was after 5PM The 2nd and 3rd times they just reached capacity before I finished loading my cart to check out.
As far as sending a message to them I did thaat last week and I am still waiting for a reply. As far as assuming that they don't really give a s#%t about new cusstomers Just look on their site. They spell it out to you.

If you have an account, simply create a wish list and add the juices you want to your list. When they are open, you can add all your items and check out in under 5 mins. That is what I did on my first order and it was hassle free.

I realize now that is the way to do it. Ths way I will be all ready when the time comes that I am around my computer when they first open. I will give em a chance and I hope their juice is worth all of the effort as I really would like to have some of those aromatics.
