Is an extended telescope piece or something being made into consideration for accommodation with the kick?

I have read both you need an extension tube and that you don't.

Same here.

In one of his videos, hifistud did have a Kick and 18650 battery in his TS. IIRC the telescope threads were just barely showing, but I could be wrong. I'll have to see if I can find the video I'm thinking of

Well, there's a way to logic this one out I think. If the Kick works in 18650 devices with 18490 batts, and you find the difference between the two, 65-49=16mm (0.63"), then that means you'll only need that much extra length on the telescope to work. I just measured the space between the nipple on a 2000mah (slightlyyy longer than the 1600s) 18650 and the top threads of my top tube, and there was 21mm of extra room, so the Kick will almost certainly fit without needing a second top tube.

My connector must be vastly different than most people's--the center pin on mine sits considerably lower than the bottom of the connector itself. The batteries in my GGTS have to sit 10 to 15mm below the level of the top tube if I am not using the stealth cap...

Same on mine, must be protruding a good half inch inside the top tube (GGTS nickel);just got a nice brass telescope and I can see 1.5 threads showing out of top tube...its screwed all the way too (tought the threads were just tight, but after measuring, its all the way in)

Shouldn't see any threads showing on top tube. Unscrew the bottom part where button is a little. Do you have the telescope in the right place. Shorter. thread at the top

The Kick is out of beta in in production now so I can talk freely about my experience. We were asked not to talk back and forth on open forums because changes were taking place based on tester feedback. All that would do is cause mass confusion because people would get an impression based on information that was not relevant to the product they would eventually order....make sense?

It fits the GGTS using an 18500 or 18490 PERFECTLY. For the price it's a great addition to anyone's vaping toolbox. I would have preferred a higher limit on wattage, but the operating specs, not preferences rule the day.

....can't wait for Imeo's version because I'm guessing his will have more flexibility. That's the thing about the GGTS, you aren't limited by a hard number for dimensions.....another plus for the GGTS design. Other than Imeo, nobody could have imagined the many options it will deliver.

I'll get both as quickly as I can

Looks to me you are using a newer brass telescope tube with an older GGTS. I have a brass telescope tube used with an older aluminum GGTS, and the top threads are VERY much shorter, like 2mm, then a newer brass telescope tube that I use with my SS GGTS. My aluminum GGTS screw onto the newer telescope, but the threads show just like yours. However, with the telescope tube that came with my aluminum GGTS, no threads show... Can show you pics of the difference if you want.

To stay on topic... I think it will depend on what atomizer you use or if you use a UFS or ODY... this determines how far down into the tube your center pin will need to travel. With my UFS in full size mode or a 901, I believe there is enough room. Change to a 510, well, things change.

No need, the original nickel tube has 2 threads where the brass one has 4

Thanks Martin. Hard for me to see though from the pic size.

The gold sounds interesting. Been thinking bout doing that myself. Silver plating too

Yeah, got to practice more, the looks is nice, not quite the same shade as brass and hard to get the right thickness so it doesnt rub out just shining it
