Is anyone else tire of arguing with friends about the "dangers" of vaping?

People need reasons (true or not true - doesn't matter) to look down on other people. It goes with their inferiority complex (g). You have governments/organizations/businesses funding imperiled by vaping. Ask the smoker how much tax he is paying on that pack of smokes, then laugh at him. Then there is the danger that if people start thinking for themselves, the status quo will be in deep kimchee!!

I'm relatively new to vaping, about a month in, and have experienced this a handful of times. I've just shrugged it off.

There are very few people I come in contact with on a regular basis whose opinions I take any stock in and none of them have brought it up other than to compliment my lack of smoke odor.

Any time someone is obviously reciting misinformation from the media I instinctively write them off as a non-thinker and go about my business no matter the subject at hand.

Don't sweat it, seriously. I don't have the time to waste debating with uneducated closed-minded people. If anyone, and I mean anyone in the anti-vaping community had even a shread of evidence vaping was as harmful as smoking, it would be plastered all over every news/media outlet every time you turned on the TV/Radio/Computer!

All I keep hearing is "you know those are worse than real cigarettes" then I ask "how?", and every single person
has said "I don't know"
I laugh and walk away.
Last Friday it was a lady about 300lbs. with a cigarette in one hand and a soda in the other.

I would have told this person that the treadmill won't hurt them either lol

Friends, especially still smoking friends...I will continue to discuss/refute their invalid points/justifications as long as they continue to bring them up. I accepted imperfections in my friends long ago.

Strangers/Acquaintances, I will offer answers/comments to all valid points/questions and refute invalid points once. Stupidity is always ignored.

My fiance wanted me to quit smoking so i tried ecigs. I love it way better than smoking and I smoked for 15 years.(wont tell her that). Now she bugs me about why I use that thing and she says it looks like a pacifier. She smoked for a long time too but quit all together now she bugs me to quit with the ecigs. ANNOYING!

I'm in the same boat. "Have you started dropping your nic yet?" "Didn't you just get a bottle last week?" I remind her of when her dog smelled like an ashtray and the conversation usually ends.

Just recently found out that one of my best friend's dad has stage 4 lung, esophagus and liver cancer. The guy has never smoked a cigarrette in his life and my friend smokes about a pack a day. Messed up situation no matter how you look at it. He has now purchased a whole Vamo, carto, and battery set up and is trying to quit for the 10th time in his life even though for the past few months he did nothing but make fun of me for vaping

I smoked a pack a day for 20 years. My nasty habit provided it's fair share of standing in the rain, constant seclusion from groups and a horrible smokers cough. I finally found a safe alternative and couldn't be happier. My lungs feel great, I've regained my sense of smell and taste and I no longer stink like an ash tray. Why is the media making my friends and family think that vaping is no better than smoking?

Why? Because cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry mebbe?

I've even seen a smoker hold their breath when my vape cloud blew their direction once outside.

That is hilarious. Smokers being such health nuts of course!

I don't argue. I'm too sarcastic. Smoker tried to argue with me, I shrugged and said, "Enjoy your cancer!" as I walked off.
